Hood and Favors is a really strong offer for one year of westbrook. In my opinion the Jazz should not consider that at all. Hood, Lyles, Burks, and a first or two seems like a fair offer. Would be interesting to see what goes down if he hits the market.

I don't know but I think Lyles might be better than Favors.

thats going to be a few years if at all right? you know better than I, but I don't see that. Favors is a solid 2 way player that always has a positive impact.

Yes definitely a few years and Favors is great but Russ would be awesome.

yeah, i guess my concern is no way Westbrook resigns in Utah though? so giving all that up for one year seems like trouble.

Obviously, I love getting Durant, but its so scary how one guys decision can have such a profound effect on an entire organization. In basketball more than any other sport that i can think of. OKC goes from what i thought was right there as a title contender to possibly looking to salvage value from their other superstar.

I recall how trading for and then trading Chris Webber totally screwed us over for a long time and we weren't anywhere near the level OKC was last year (and Webber no where near Durant in impact).

Hopefully Westbrook stays in OKC.

Hayward, Exum, Lyles, 2017 UTA 1st, 2018 OKC 1st, 2019 UTA 1st for Westbrook and Ilyasova

Godfather offer for OKC. And Utah still has a pretty good roster left even if Westbrook walks. But being the man on his own team and leading that team to a Western final against Durant and the Dubs (plus a 5 year max offer) just might be enough for him to stay.

Utah
Westbrook/Mack/Neto
Hill/Burks/Ingles
Hood/Johnson/FA
Favors/Diaw/Ilyasova
Gobert/Withey/Pleiss

Oklahoma City
Payne/Exum/Foye
Oladipo/Roberson/Morrow
Hayward/Singler/Huestis
Lyles/Sabonis/McGary
Adams/Kanter/Collison

Kendall Marshall, Landry, or Hollis Thompson - 1 of them should be gone without Saric and 2 with him.

Or they just dump a big, but the roster isn't it unbalanced on bodies (talent yes).

Marshall might or might get a take, but if Hollis is outgoing he should get a 2nd. Kinda think Landry is gone.

Yes, Sixers need to sell SG/SF Hollis Thompson for a 2nd rounder to open a roster spot. He is paid only $1M this year and can shoot 40% from 3 point range. Who wants to give a 2nd for him?[quote]

I would trade for him if we didn't have Bullock. The other two, no. No real point /fit

No one is suggesting any blockbusters, more shuffling guys around to better fits.

Many of them do believe OKC will eventually trade Westbrook.

I have looked at your spreadsheet quite a bit during this off season. Great info all in one place.

Also, PF Carl Landry loses his spot when Dario Saric arrives. Landry is paid $6.5M on an expiring contract this year. Who wants him for free?

In addition, anyone can also have PG Kendall Marshall. He has a $2M unguaranteed contract for this year, with 2 unguaranteed years at similar money after that. Who wants him for free?

Wolves send Payne (cheap buyout) for Landry and Thompson/2nd.

Sold. Adreian Payne for Carl Landry and Hollis Thompson.

Sixers new lineup:

PG Bayless / Rodriguez / McConnell
SG Henderson / Stauskas / Luwawu
SF Simmons / Covington / Grant
PF Saric / Noel / Payne
CE Okafor / Embiid / Holmes

Sixers may keep Payne, otherwise they would cut him to sign Christian Wood who has more upside.

Pretty sure he was doing it for the 2nd you cut out.

I thought it was Hollis OR a 2nd. In any case there's no chance the Sixers are giving up a pick to dump Landry when they can just cut him instead seeing as they are over $20M under the salary floor.

You might be right on the or.

Agreed on Landry. It would be good value in a vacuum, but without another use for the cap space, it wouldn't.

I could see the Lakers trying to get Westbrook for Russell and Randle with the Thunder demanding just Ingram. Ultimately, I see the Lakers caving on an Ingram deal even if it includes Young/Lou Will. It guarantees the Lakers re-signing Westbrook and leaves enough assets to land a complimentary star and enough cap space to add a third guy in 2017 free agency.

As for the Thunder: Adams-Sabonis-Ingram-Oladipo-Payne isn't the worst result of losing two top 5 players.
Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

I talked to a handful of guys around the league this morning and everyone feels like we could see some deals today through the weekend. Especially with Vegas kicking off this weekend and all of the NBA basically together. With so much money still left around the league and so many dynamics having changed, it sounds like we could see a good deal of movement.

Also, I have it on a very good source that any Westbrook to the Lakers deal would have to start with Ingram. If he's off the table, the Thunder won't even talk to them.

Maybe I´m completely wrong but I still think that Jimmy Butler is on the market, especially with the signing of D-Wade (for the right price of course).

Doubt that OKC will trade Westbrook, they simply can´t do this to their fans. From a contender to a rebuilding team in a few days, this would be too much imo.

What are the chances of Westbrook going to the Lakers in FA? Clippers are a better choice.

If the Lakers are smart nothing will happen then. They're either confident Westbrook will sign with them or they're not. If they're not they'd be insane to trade Ingram for him and if they are they'd also be crazy to trade Ingram for him because they can just keep him and wait until the summer to sign Westbrook.

I'm sure their ideal plan is to sign Westbrook next summer (pray for a short lockout) and try to work a trade for Paul George by sending Ingram to Indiana.

All that said I'm more excited to see the small trades that are about to happen now that free agency is mostly finished. It's always fun to see the plans of different front offices come into view.

Most guys (75-80%) think it is a lock Westbrook goes to the Lakers. Not necessarily in trade, but that is where he ultimately lands.

Find it interesting he would go to such a poorly built team.

Its the Lakers. Unless they completely screw up their cap, which they haven't despite the Deng and Mozgov deals, they'll always attract talent. And they do have some decent young pieces too.

Are we sure about this still? I mean, I feel like we've heard the same thing for the last couple of years and it hasn't happened.
