I don't really find Mozgov to be that shockingly bad of a contract. He has a lot of impact for the Lakers when he is in. Is he overpaid? Yah, but realize that $15 million a year is going to be the salary for an average starter from here on. If anything, Ian Mahimni is a MUCH worse contract that Mozgov.

Not only is Mahinmi's contract worse, I am going to change my nomination to him, as I think he should be the next guy voted in. 4/64, hasn't played one game this season, career backup who is a low to mid-tier starting center if healthy, being paid till he is 34...Washington would have been better off signing no one.

I want to vote Asik, giving him bonus points for being the only one on the list signed before this last off season.

I never really believed it personally, but we heard a lot about the new TV deal, cap explosion, and those being "going rates" for even those types of players. It's still possible that even the Deng and Plumlee contracts don't look so bad after round 2 of a big cap this off season. That Asik deal is bad in any era though.

I don't understand what the TWolves are doing with Pekovic unless they are going after a medical retirement if so he's not going to hurt them as the league insurance will pay 80% of his salary and he's cleared off the books. Same for Bosh if he retires.

That was why I put the question mark. Haven't kept up with that and how that works with if it counts toward the cap after x amount of days. Almost put Horford just cus of age/salary but he's too productive so far for this list.

Horford still has a lot of value, I'm not understanding people saying Conley and CJ McCollum or Biyombo they may be getting paid big money but they have value as players were guys like Noah, Deng and Mozgov are big money and declining rapidly.

That crazy contract is why the pacers let him walk. If he can get healthy he's a solid player but that is a lot of money.

Probably too small a deal to deserve consideration yet, but Delly 4/38 could be an underrated bad deal from last summer.

T&T Board top 10 least valuable contracts - Vote for #2!

Vote: Deng

$18 mil for the next 4 years is going to be hard to swallow. Going to be hard to get rid of the over the hill veteran.

Nominate: Mahinmi

$15 mil for the next 4 years isn't as bad as Deng's contract but he is also over 30 and just underwent knee surgery. Also, he's a career role player. He's on the decline.

Vote: Deng

Similar to Noah, it's the age that really does it.

Maybe becase they think Mosgov will still give you something in 3 years and much less likely you get anything from Deng at that point. Centers seem to decline less as they age.

Try to come up w/ Deng's stats over the last 9-10 games and the votes might change.

I think its a perception thing, if things go well, Deng's contract is passable. If you go 2-12, its the 2nd-worst contract in the world.

Overall, I think a guy that can play 30mpg effectively, play defense, lead and score is better than one who can't do either.

PS. just wait till 25M is the starting point in contracts. Guys like Mahinmi are paid 16M because other guys are set to earn 18-25. By this, Mozgov contract becomes "decent" to some extent too.
