Re: Middleton's Current Trade Value
Bucks won't trade him now because his performance this year post injury was good but not great. Before this year he was looking like a premier 2 way player. This year towards the end, he wasn't looking that great. He has lost muscle mass it looks like, and it looks like it may have negatively affected his game. His overall percentages are still solid, but his overall play was not spectacular.
Bucks will wait to bring that value up unless they can make him central to a trade involving one of the other 2 premier guys rumored to potentially be on the move (Butler, PG)

Do the Bucks have any bad contracts they would like to dump that could make up the difference in value?
At this point, I think the Bucks would be looking to get out from both Henson and Teletovic's contracts. Not saying you need to take on both but adding one would probably even out the value.

WHo would you say Bucks would want out of more between Dellavadova and Telly?

Definitely Telly. Delly at least offers the them something of value with his pesky defense and leadership on the court. Kidd will not run plays for Telly so he has just been an inconsistent chucker all season.

This seems fair for both sides.

Spurs finally go younger and make it the Middleton and Kawhi show. Pops offseason of 2018--with Pau-Monroe*-Parker-Manu (finally retired)all off the books--go all-in on a prime time FA. Can Spurs have their own big 3?
*I could see Pops brining Duncan in as special mentor/coach for Monroe, and after a year of seeing what he has in Monroe, re-sign him as part of core.
Bucks get playoff tested vets. LMA can mentor Maker. Green keeps shooting in the lineup. And Murray is a young PG in the mix.
Murray really struggled last season in the D-League. I think I would prefer swapping him out with either Bertans or Anderson.

Telly by far. Delly has been terrible as a starter but is solid as a backup. Telly just isn't good and on the wrong side of 30.

I think that is doable. This trade to me would really help both organizations.
For Spurs, imagine Pops and Duncan getting their hands on Monroe. If he showed promise, I could see Favors being their big time 2018 target (or a PG if Mills too expensive and walks).
Spurs:
Monroe
Favors
Kawhi
Middleton
Mills
Bucks:
LMA/Maker
Parker/Maker
Giannis
Green/Bogdon
Bogdon/Delly
Plus 2 1st round picks in 2017. And any free agent pick ups.

Re: Middleton's Current Trade Value
Trading Middleton would be a major set back and would likely really piss off Giannis. Also there is no way if we move him we should dilute offers by trying to get rid of salary and if you move him you shouldn't be including our pick in the deal. We would need more pieces because with Parker hurt this roster is thin already , moving Khris even more so.

Kawhi and Khris would make a pretty formidable defensive tandem. I do like the notion of LMA mentoring Thon and Green is a serviceable replacement for Khris. I would still look to resign Snell so Kidd can play the hot hand between him and Green and Anderson would fit well on the 2nd unit.
LMA/Maker
Giannis/Anbderson
Parker/Snell
Green/Snell
Brogdon/Delly

Have you seen LMA and Green lately? They are a heap of garbage who make a heck of a lot. This would be a terrible trade for the Bucks and highway robbery for the Spurs. The Bucks get older and worse, while the Spurs do the opposite.

Have both player fallen off this much? I guess i haven't seen many Spurs games this season.

Heap of garbage may have been a slight exaggeration, but Middleton alone is more valuable than both. Not to mention his contract is a lot more reasonable and LMA is not the best influence on a young team given he wants his lion share of touches or will pout and not try as hard.

To me, if MIN is giving up #6 plus taking both Henson and Telly ($22 mil next year, $22 in 2018-19, and $10 in 2020), I think you'd need to take out Dunn and #17.
That's unfortunate, because I find the MIN trades with Dunn or Zach LaVine very interesting. Both are very good at what they do, but "what they do" is not "running an offense." If the ball is in Giannis' hands, it would allow them to focus in on what they are good at (Dunn - man defense, and Zach - scoring).

So let's go down the convo is
Telly, Henson, Middleton for pick 6, Aldrich and bj more realistic than before?

lol at heap of garbage.
Bucks and Kidd would see this how it is. Giving the Bucks instant playoff credibility. They would have young'ish vets, not over the hill signed vets to parade out there and be bench figures, to lead their team deeper into playoffs. Which is what Bucks need.
Also lends credibility to attracting the right type of FA. And with 2 1st round picks in 17, their own in 18, they could really free up some cap (if needed) to go after last missing piece of deep playoff team (PG maybe). So one can't just look at this trade in a vacuum, this is a multiple chess move trade for both teams.
As for trade value, an expiring Monroe is a risk for any team acquiring. See Ibaka trade for what type of value he would fetch (assuming opting in). And no I am not saying Monroe is Ibaka level talent.

Middleton is young and on a declining fair contract. He doesn't whine about not being a focal point like LMA and he is better than Danny Green is every which way at this point, while being younger. So no, this is completely lobsided for the Spurs.
