LeBron is the most valuable trade asset in the league despite his age. He means instant contention.

well, lebron is 32-33 years old. He is the best player on the planet but after 2-3 years probably he will not be. and ofc when you value a player you have to count his age too.

3-4 years of definite championship contention is nothing to scoff at.

There is no trade I think I would accept. Brooklyn picks are meaningless in comparison to having a sure fire player that you can only hope those picks deliver. Hell I have waited three decades for a Giannis, trading him would be ludicrous

Nothing to scoff at but not worth what could be a decade of championship contention. Plus even if you had Lebron you are still stuck in GS championship window for the next couple of years.

If Golden State wanted to switch rosters I would trade Giannis.

He's really not. Age and contractual situation go a long way towards that. These 1+1s kill his outgoing value.

I'd offer anything and everything on the Pels besides AD, including Cousins, a s+t Holiday and multiple firsts. Not that it would matter at all. Giannis ain't available, at no price in the world...

Yeah, I'll join the small island that I wouldn't trade Alphabet for Lebron. Crazy to say that, but I'd take 15 years of playoff runs over 5. I'd take 4 years locked in over 1.. As a Dallas fan, that is hypocritical I know, since that one title changed everything and LBJ gives a safer shot at that.. But we were also really good for a decade before that year. And those seasons are what G offers that LBJ can't at this point.

This is about the only trade for GA that makes sense and it's absolutely ludicrous at the same time.

As good as guys like Davis, KAT and Jokic are, I'd argue they're not as good as Giannis.

Giannis is not just a superstar, but a generational player. You just don't trade them unless it's for a truly, ridiculously great deal like the whole Warriors roster.

Spurs fans, how quickly do you say no to a Kawhi/GA swap? Do you?

Spurs have the best coach in the world, if Giannis had that coach he could be 10 times better player. and probably kawhi couldn't be the player he is now.

they can trade Draymond Green + Klay thompson for Giannis.
And then they will have a team with Steph Curry, KD and Giannis, still a scary team to play against. not bad i guess :)

I wouldn't trade Draymond Green for Giannis straight up.

well, i guess for some fans Draymond Green has more value than Giannis, i can understand that but still your GM would be very happy to make that deal. :)

Lol, would he? You sure about that? Who fits better for Golden State right now, the proven chemistry player that is the best defender in the NBA and is the heart and soul of the team, or the developing stud that may or may not suit the Warriors in this title window? You underestimate the importance Draymond Green has on making the Warriors who they are, it is irreplaceable. Draymond's value to Golden State is so very VERY very much more than what he is on any other team, and a simple NBA 2K value trade is disingenuous to what he is to the importance of the franchise. Quite frankly, if you don't understand this then you really don't have any business throwing out trade ideas with the Warriors for Draymond Green.

You want to add in Klay as well? Ludicrous. :banghead:

i see i hurt your feelings. take it easy buddy, it's ok. you will be ok and wihout draymond Green. :)

Yes, Draymond Green is the best defender in the league but Giannis is one of the best too and he can play 1-5 from point guard to center, trust me he will fit very well not only in the warriors team but in any team. ;)

As a hornet fan id give up any combination of our roster and future firsts for him.

As long as we don't have to take dellevedova too. Because then I'm out.

Bucks are not trading Giannis. But this is the trade that makes you take notice. 7 first round picks including two top 5 picks Jaylen Brown, Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley.

That trade would be tough to turn down.

It really wouldn't.

Yeah I mean that's an absurd package. We've never actually seen anything like that before.

But you still have to turn it down. The NBA is a league about one truly great player rather than a team filled with lots of really good players. We've had the odd exception: The Pistons in the early 00's and the Pistons in the late 80s. And the Spurs teams from a few years back before Kawhi was the MVP candidate he is now.

But generally you win titles because you have Lebron or Kobe or Duncan or Shaq. Is Giannis that level of player? Certainly looks like that's where he's headed.

Giannis is the #1 non-rookie scale asset. Actually, he's #1 overall and I'd have Jokic 2nd.

No way I'm trading generationally elite playmaking 22-year-olds.
