Fair enough :) i got the idea from the other oladipo for Paul + picks trades that were shot down due to finances actually and thought this turner trade could save them money and remain competitive.

Basically it would become Oladipo + Turner + fillers for Paul, Clarke, filler, 3(?) 1sts. not too shabby imo.

It's simply the existence of Chris Paul on the roster that makes it so impossibly tough to build around. Paul at over $40m, Brogdon at $20m, Sabonis at $18.5m, and Warren on the budget deal of $11m, and we're already at essentially $90m, leaving $40m total for the remaining 10-11 spots. It's just not very tenable for us.

But where are 3 1sts coming from? You included 1 coming to Indy.

Yeah Paul at $41.3 million I don't know how you can build a team with a guy that expensive on the team unless you have a bunch of rookie deals.

I mean, you'd do it for a prime best in the NBA guy for sure and make it happen. It's just tough to build a well rounded roster and likely requires a very active GM to turn over pieces for value/long-term deals constantly.
