Pick swaps are scary. Giannis and Jrue leaving is scary.

Buuuuuuuuuuut

If Bucks fans came to the trade board with Bledsoe/Hill/Donte/1st we'd probably have been laughed off the forum with "LOL Bucks wouldn't get Jrue for that" talk. And honestly, I kinda might have agreed and thought there would be better packages out there. Sub out Donte for a first, which I like, and add an extra first and I'm not heartbroken.

But again, kinda spooky.

Is Jrue even a major upgrade over Bledsoe? Milwaukee overpaid but if Giannis extends then it's probably worth it .

The good news for Milwaukee is they can’t have made this deal without a supermax deal from Giannis already agreed to. That has to be it.

Necessary trade for the bucks. Steep price but Giannis is worth it.

Fantastic return for the pelicans.

That is the only possible explanation, and I'd hope they'd also have an agreement in place for Jrue to sign an extension. But you simply cannot make this deal without Giannis agreeing to an extension.

Absolutely shocked that a certain poster here is STILL unable to grasp why Holiday shouldn't have anywhere near this value relative to Bledsoe.

it is hard for me to grasp that Holiday isn't way more valuable than Bledsoe when the proof is right in front of us :D

There's a difference between shouldn't be, and is. But again, like I said, you were unable to grasp that. Your obvious baiting in this thread comes off as beyond petty, but hey, that's the guy you are.

No, he's not. He's a lateral move.

Last time firsts got thrown around like this the Suns sold Luol Deng to the Bulls and Rajon Rondo to the Celtics for just cash.
Kids played football, drove cars, went to school, celebrated life; while soldiers, heroes, their brothers struggled to find their way home from war; and young boys watched and grew wiser in their dreams.

Holiday is an upgrade, albeit not at the cost of three 1sts and two pick swaps

Uhh dang. I mean, I like Holiday, but 3 first rounders + 2 pick swaps plus Bledsoe and Hill for one time All-Star? Bucks better hope Giannis resigns with them and do really well in PO next season. Otherwise, they are absolutely doomed for next 4-5 years.

edit: saw Scoot's update from Woj. Yeah proof that Jrue was in fact worth a lot more than Bledsoe.

Bledsoe vs Jrue value was a debate?

Jrue is not the best at facilitating an offense though, this is my main problem with the trade. They needed someone to be able to do that very well.

But I like what Holiday brings my team on the offensive end. The eye test leans to Holiday.

Okay so one late pick, some swaps that likely won't happen with this signaling the supermax and 2 distant firsts. Still illustrates the massive difference between Bledsoe and Jrue, but also not a bad price to pay at all. I have this as a win for both teams.

Stats do not tell the whole story, Jrue is better on both ends, but no way is he 3 1sts and 2 pick swaps better especially considering Hill is still a somewhat effective player.
