does anyone else have a 1st round draft pick in the next couple of years or does OKC own them all?

I guess the trade is fine but I just can't get over how much damage Elton Brand managed to do in a single year.

Wow, if Philly can develop Ferguson's jumper, it's an even bigger steal

Simmons/Green/Richardson/Harris/EMBIID
Wouldn't be surprised to this expanded with Philly taking back additional pieces from a 3rd team - they have about $15MM or so to play with in a trade and need bench help.
FTFY

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

And rewarded with an extension for his efforts. Crazy.

You guys would not **** believe how annoyed I was when Minnesota did not jump in to select Vasilije Micić. I literally have a trade on here from 2015 trying to grease him for Minnesota.
I used to be really damn solid at second round talent evaluation, back when I was younger. Micić is going to be an adequate backup.

This doesn't really make Philly better or not much. I'm underwhelmed for them. It's perfectly fine value wise but doesn't feel like it really addresses the root of their issues. More to come I guess?

I heard an interview with morey once and he said the key to making trades is to find a GM with the same philosophy as you but you have to be at different places with building your team. Pretty much this.

Home run trade for the Sixers, get two decent role players in Ferguson and Green and off Horford. It's a shame to get rid of a first and high second, especially when you're ultra capped out, but at least it's not 5 picks, some teams would pay a first just to get Green and Ferguson.

No way. Getting rid of Ferguson is what I like the most about this trade

Re: [Woj] Horford, 1st, 2nd for Da Green
Salary impact:
Philly saves/OKC takes on:
20/21: $12,134,146
21/22: $27,000,000
22/23: $26,500,000 or can cut him for $14,500,000 dead money
That is a LOT. Horford is still productive but I have this as a clear win for Philly.

If that was true then Presti would have made that trade. I got Ferguson as a negative contract that no team would give even cap space for. Green too was not fetching a 1st without long term bad money coming to OKC which is what just happened.

I mean it's a win if your goal is for our owner to turn a profit but I can't really say it's a win when if we're minimally better if at all and still have zero cap space for the next millennium.

OKC Chamber of Commerce asked Presti if he could get the city to host a future NBA Draft.
“Well Adam, most of these draftees 1-30 will be staying here, so why not draft them here?”

That was what my take was in the redundant thread:
OKC got the high variance and "lightly protected distant 1st", while Philly got less long term money but not any better. Bitter pill to swallow on its own.

Small scale, but giving #34 versus #36 could be annoying.

They added 2 shooters and got rid of 1 of their 2 starting centers. I mean, it's certainly not the magic wand that makes them contenders or anything, but how does it not address their needs (particularly with adding salary flexibility starting next year.
I think the value is good both ways as well. Definitely proves wrong the people who swore it would take at least 2 1sts just to get off Horford's deal.
