Three-way trade: your take?

Bane of My Existence: Memphis wins, getting the shooter they wanted and not having to take on another centre.

23%
Super Mario Bothers: Portland wins, trading a guy with no role (and who annoyed fans) for an expiring C who played well there before.
5
19%
Flex Offence: Boston wins, continuing to dump unwanted salary more more flexibility (and pick up future 2nds).

Kant believe it!: everyone wins. Memphis got their guy, Portland gained value painlessly, and Boston saves cash and some opportunities.

Now that the details are done: updated thread title and added poll.

I thought they got two 2nds, they got rid of porier and kanter for the 30th pick and got three 2nds. What is not to love. :D

It's a good deal all of the way around. Feels like Boston has another move coming.

Yeah that's largely, what I predicted on the Boston end. My proposal was always Kanter/#30 to POR with #46 back to Boston. Largely what happened from the Boston standpoint.

Yeah I am hoping it is Baynes and Bjelica, but with Mil and the kings messing up that trade that is not likely anymore.

There really should be at least 3 more ("Portland and Memphis win, but not Boston", etc.) but coming up with so many quality puns is obviously draining.

Interesting this deal finally got done. Is this the first business since the Sidney Wicks deal in 1976 that
Portland has done with Boston?

They have another TPE that they could take TJ Leaf into. #30 for Hezonja's barely over the minimum salary deal was too good a deal. I bet in what seems like the inevitable BOS-IND S&T MEM will be included to take Leaf's expiring deal.

I understand that but we gave up a 1st rounder, I would like to know when and what protections the pick or picks we are getting back are, perhaps you are trying to say it has not been determined yet becuase there are still things going on, but I would like to see what picks we get. There were some players I really liked at 30. However doing this trade may allow us to use the non taxpayer midlevel which probably makes it worth it.

Yeah I'm guessing that's dependent on how the Hayward stuff goes and if we need them to take Leaf

Boston gave Portland Randy Foye (flipped immediately for Brandon Roy) for absorbing a year of Raef Lafrentz.

Edit: multiple years? Can't remember how long it took before he became "Raef Lafrentz's Expiring Contract"
