Though I didn't claim it would cost at least #31. I typically offered #31 as incentive because nothing else made sense to offer. But was quite open I didn't know.

Still hated the Delon Wright signing at the time and Dallas is out 4 2nd rounders because of it and no James Johnson making $15M is not worth 2 2nds. He's negative value himself.

Now I like what Donnie did here, but make no mistake the whole Delon Wright deal was a fiasco and their misevaluation definitely had a price. But what I love about Donnie is when he makes a mistake he doesn't let his ego get in the way and compounds the problem like lots of GM's do. He just pays the price to fix his mistake and moves forward not worrying about sunk costs.

I hope my fellow Mavs fans appreciate that about Donnie/Cuban.

9 times out of 10 I do and am with you. I just think the undeserved, unwarranted extension of Powell screams hey the Rondo trade wasn't a complete bust. He didn't deserve that contact pre injury, so no real excuse or Monday morning quarterbacking. If they didn't do that, Wright's contract would have been moot

He’s a solid rotation piece. Just was a bad fit b/c he needs the ball in his hands. He’ll make a lot of good defensive decisions that might not show up in the stat sheet. Could be worse

Yes could be worse, like, donate cap space, for no incentive at all, and then the team that you donated your cap space (taking on Ariza for a pick swap) sign your best player (wood).

I don’t understand letting Wood go either
