Light years ahead of everyone else...

I find it really hard to value Klay and Dray. I think there's a solid chance they could form 2/3s of a contending roster for a year or two, and the contact Houston gave Chris Paul - and, honestly, his play afterwards - suggests that teams rightly place a lot of value on that possibility, even if you're signing on for an albatross of a deal for the remaining 2-4 years.

I think I'd take either of them over the Wiggins and Barneses (and Harrises, I guess) of the world, who you can be pretty sure are just going to give you not-quite-enough production for their salary.

Tobias is solid but overpaid; I think that beats Klay (and Dray). That said, I do see the argument for an upside flier on Klay versus you know what you get with Love types. I just don't know that a team takes that flier, even if they consider it hard.

Sadly it’s Klay. Zero production this season and likely next too due to the timing of his injury. He’s gonna miss effectively three full seasons even if it he plays a few games at the end of next year to knock the rust off. Then you get two years of post ACL and Achilles Klay at absolutely massive money.

Nom: Gobert. Absolutely horrid contract for a guy not a major offensive option. He’ll be making $47m at age 34 as an athletic center.
