Setting aside the fact that Cedi has played well enough to have a $6.7M option picked up, you're leaving out cap holds.

Not supporting this trade, but cap holds don't count against tax.

Until you sign the guys needed to fill out your roster. Then they count.

All of that aside, I don't think the Sixers do this. T. Harris is dropping off the books at just the right time for them and he's having a pretty solid season. The only wrinkle is Harden because he's becoming a little unpredictable.

I don't pretend to know what is best for the Cavs, but I do know why I thought this is a good deal for them.
Cavs need to replace Love and LeVert production next year, and they need a big wing, DFS is the big wing, and THJ replaces LeVert and Bertans replaces Love.
Now, Cavs may prefer not be locked into these contracts from now, THJ and Bertans are certainly overpaid, and find a big wing now, and use MLE for a shooter and extend Love, or they can do this deal, and they do have a pathway to do this deal that while being under tax this year and the next.
I think it's a good option for them, I also think this is better than gambling on FAs, I even said that in a different thread for a different deal for the Cavs (JRich + MCD) and I think my proposition is reasonable, but I do understand there may be different opinions.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

Again, I'd do it with DFS in it. I'd even pick up Cedi's option and use the taxpayer MLE on a backup center. But I could see why the Cavs would not.

I would do this for Philly. Love provides better rebounding and just as much, if not more, spacing than Harris. Bullock is a better 3P shooter than Thybulle, but a much worse defender. That being said, Thybulle plays very little with Harden/Maxey/Milton/Melton in the rotation.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

I think this is pretty good for Dallas and Cavs, but this deal just falls apart with 76ers, its just a massive talent downgrade for them and they are looking to contend. They have much better ways of ducking the tax than this imo.
