Dallas overreaction thread time? But last night went exactly how some of us expected so guess it wouldn’t be an over reaction thread..

I did think Dallas would need to trade AD in order to tank, but sort of think Kidd/Nico just need to run that starting line up together.. ignore spacing and keep telling Cooper that he can play PG? Because Luka or because Long Boi?

Well I think they are trialling Cooper as primary playmaker. Seems like development.

Ideally Dlo would start.

Flagg at PG for development is OK I guess, but then they should have traded AD if they were going to throw away this season.

Pels: Fears showed out, looks way more ready than anyone anticipated. Alvarado was a healthy DNP. Any interest in him for big/wing depth? Hawkins, too. Weird how they accepted his Team Option for 7mil. next season.

Offense was rough. But Wemby also careered. I mean the takeaway from that game is against a team that in theory had bodies to throw at him, he just obliterated them. Dude is a problem.

I didnt watch the game, did the mavs try to double (team) him much/at all?

Nobody knows what they tried because we were too busy watching him dunk from absurd spots and draw fouls on everyone. They had absolutely no answers. I remember 2 years ago when Wemby debuted against Lively and Lively outplayed him. Lively couldn't even stay on the court last night.

And Castle's defense was pretty good too. But man Wemby. As dominant as his numbers look, it was worse than that.

Castle shut Flagg down early, and he looks really focused on offense, good IQ overall in making decisions. Harper started out the coldest but found his groove, but man, Spurs need to hit those FTs

Lauri looked way healthier last night and Hendricks, Keyonte, and Walker looked hugely improved skill wise. We will see if that continues because those four and Brice just punched the Clippers in the mouth right away and the Clips instantly folded. There was zero fight at all from the Clips.

next step is to see how he responds to frequent double (or even triple) teams like Giannis did few years ago

From these, I can see Ivey a little bit. But he is still hurt so, not sure about that. Grimes might not make sense since 76ers dont have a use for Donte.

Jose Alvarado might be available for that. he can shoot the ball enough to hit open threes, can handle the ball and can find that steal every game.

Since Fears looks ready, might make sense

Considering they don't have a need for Donte too much, I'm not sure they would be inclined to.

New Orleans could definitely use a player like Donte. They somewhat lack a PG/SG POA defender if they move Alvarado.
