Hate to be the one to step in and take a huge $hit all over the blockbuster deal that at least one of you took a lot of time to develop but this deal obviously cannot work within the strict roster minimum/limits rules in place. Unless something has changed all teams must have at least 12 players but at most 15 players on their roster in order for the trade to be league. And Houston I am pretty sure that precludes you from that little waiver wire pickup move you tried to do. This isn't the first time a deal with this kind of problem has come up because I know I have pointed out this kind of problem at least once. So you guys really need to tweek the deal.

New Jersey Trades:
Jason Kidd-$19,728,000, Stromile Swift-$5,800,000, Mike James-$5,826,893
31.354893

New Jersey Receives:
Theo Ratliff-$11,666,666, Earl Watson-$5,800,000, Kyle
Lowry-$1,087,680, Lindsey Hunter-$2,250,000, Flip
Murray-$1,890,000, Walter Hermann-$1,944,000,
Marcus Vinicius $687,456, Detroit's 2009 1st Round Pick
(Unprotected), Houston's 2009 1st Round Pick
(Unprotected)
25.325802

New Jersey trades 3 players but gets 7 players in return which means if they were following the rules initially they should have 1 player too many.
Houston Trades:
Tracy McGrady-$18,257,750, Kyle Lowry-$1,087,680,
Raja Bell-$4,750,000, Luis Scola-$2,916,667, Aaron
Brooks-$972,720, Ruben Patterson- 770,610 and Adam Huskala-400,000, 2009 1st Round Pick (Unprotected)
28.787817

Houston Receives:
Jason Kidd-$19,728,000, Richard Hamilton-10,000,000,
Chris Wilcox-$6,500,000
36.228

Houston trades 7 players and gets back 3. That leaves them one player short of the 12 player minimum.

houston is allowed to go to 11 players...no problem there...but nj is going to have to waive someone first or trade someone

Guys, just find a deal that works. No need to try and bypass rules.

we allowed it before, in the CBA it says a team is allowed to drop to 11 players as long as they pick up another one in 2 weeks...which in this game i would suggest is just right away.

Alright the Larry Coon thing stands, you can go down to 11, but you must sign a player immediately. Houston already has Marks so I don't think thats an issue.

But at the very least the Nets have to cut somebody b4 the deal because by aquiring 4 extra players they clearly wouldn't have the roster room to make the deal.

Just have the Nets send the Rockets a minimum salary player. That won't mess up the salaries due to the minimum salary exception.

the Nets will not be getting Marcus Vinicius instead, or he can trade Malik Allen to me which is kinda dumb, but we're fixing it asap, no worries

The big trade still doesn't work unless NJ waives 2 players before the trade since they start with 14 on their roster and they end up with 17

Nets waive Jamaal Magliore and Malik Allen. THEN they confirm this trade.

NJ can waive ppl before accepting a trade, Seattle did that a while ago and was allowed.

And I'm afraid you have some issues to ink out:

Houston's issue has been resolved, but cant the Nets cut people before accepting a deal? Seattle did that with Rod Benson an then the trade with toronto
