Pass... I always look for statistical markers with young players/draft prospects. Along with that, I feel like vertical, two foot explosive athletes are always overrated and quick/lateral athletes are underrated.
Miles is explosive off two feet, but underwhelming laterally and not long.

He doesn't show high BBIQ markers of AST:TOV ratio, shot selection, rebounding, and FTr (FTr is a function of spatial awareness and functional athleticism). When I plus athlete as such an anemic FTr, I get REALLY concerned that they lack skill and/or their athleticism doesn't play as well as measured.

He'll play a nice long career in league, but never a starter or consequential player IMHO.

Debbie downer here but... we don't see trades 1-2 days before the draft normally, as why not wait and see if offers go up. If it opened tonight at 12:01 I could have seen a bunch of deals 2 days off then a bunch of deals.
Monday? I think we might all be holding it until Wednesday, as why not see if there is a better Jrue offer in the two days before the draft.

The flip side is if that asset you want gets flipped if a better offer comes along. Sometimes GMs out smart themselves. I think the complicated multi team ones may get done sooner for that reason.

That's good advice but it wouldn't nearly be as amusing.

Seeing the rumor about the Bucks interest in Covington and Tucker, it worries me as a MIN fan that we might see something like

MIL GIVES: Bledsoe, DiVicenzo, DJ Wilson, MIL 1st

MIN GETS: Bledsoe, DJ Wilson
MIN GIVES: Culver, J Johnson

HOU GETS: Culver, DiVincenzo, MIL 1st, J Johnson
HOU GIVES: Covington and Tucker


If MIL wants to do this trade, Bledsoe seems a likely salary going out, and I don’t see a lot of places MIL could send him. While I acknowledge his on court fit in MIN, I don’t think Bledsoe works for MIN’s timeline, future salary structure, or trade flexibility. I worry that Rosas just wants to add talent. I’d rather find a way to take RoCo and Tucker to MIN than to walk down the Bledsoe path.

When you watch Bledsoe contain Harden and Curry night in and night out and make either 1st or 2nd all defense, averages 18 points mainly from attacking the basket and free throws (with the increased spacing he will get from Minnesota's shooters), and your team gets some much needed playoff experience this season, you will feel a little better.

Think its too early to write off a 22 year old small forward. Not like its a deep position. He improves his shooting range and he definitely a starter. People didn't think much of a 22 year old Oubre either.

I am still buying in on Bridges but its waning. Im starting to think his college success was due to simply having the size and strength to overpower guys. His advanced stats are absolutely terrifying. Not many guys, even as young as him, come back to be playoff caliber starters after two years and 0.59 WS48 / -1.2 OBPM / -0.5 DBPM. Specifically scary that when he got more minutes this year his WS dropped all the way to .039. He isnt scaling well.

Agreed. The hope of him getting anywhere the ceiling most expected is getting slimmer and slimmer.

He will have a career, and there is still absolutely a chance he puts its together, but he's looking like a 7 - 10 man to me.
