I wasn't saying that the trade couldn't go through... I was just stating a fact so the New Jersey GM would know that he would have to waive people

And in regards to Diaz... he wasn't on the Clippers roster or anyone elses so I didn't think anyone had signed him (and I don't have the time to look through the whole transactions page)... If the clippers signed him then my signing of him is void.

The gigantic blockbuster is now approved, but I haven't seen everyone accept it once again so just confirm that you are all in agreement and it goes through.

The Heat and Knicks have come to agreement on a deal:

Heat trade/Knicks receive:

Luke Jackson $798,328
Joel Anthony $427,163
Miami's 2009 1st round pick (top 5 protected, Knicks receive Portland's 2009 1st round pick if Miami's 2009 1st is in the top 5)

Total: $1,225,491

Knicks trade/Heat receive:

Renaldo Balkman $1,280,640

Total: $1,280,640

1,225,491 X 1.25 = 1,531,863
1,531,863>1,280,640

Heat accept.

Also, pending approval of this trade, the Heat would like to sign Jamaal Magloire (waived pg. 41) to a minimum contract.

The Knicks hate too lose Balkman but the possiblity of getting either of those picks is too good to pass up.

Are we allowed to sign players that have been waived to minimum contracts?

no you cant sign players that have a higher salary like Jamaal Magloire to a lesser one, you have to sign them to the full amount they were entitled to before...players never come off waivers.

Yeah you can do that since he's already on a minimum contract. If it wasn't clear the huge blockbuster is approved, but all the transactions since then are still on the clock.

Sixers accept, Smith wasn't going to be a starter here with Aldrige, and I like Cook. Cook adds another young player, we have to give up one but SG is more of a area of need.

Magic/Nets

Magic Trade/Nets Recieve
Pat Garrity $3,818,750

Nets Trade/Magic Recieve
Marcus Banks $3,966,207

Magic accept, we get a good enough backup SG/SF to prepare for the playoffs.
