It will be interesting to see the details here. Dennis Schröder is a legit secondary scorer and distributor that has the ability to solve many of the "2nd unit" ills that made the Lakers offense struggle. If it's Green + filler + pick... that's a heck of a deal.

Ainge remember the pittance he gave up for Irving.

The Bucks were in the running to according to Woj. They have pick 24 and could have offered Ersan, R Lopez, and DD.

I would for sure value DD, 24, and filler over 28 and Green. So it makes me think the Bucks were not willing to go that far.

Would you take 24 and filler (no DD) or 27 and Green?

I think Green can get a 2nd from a team in need of a backup shooting guard. In all likelihood, he is a one year rental so who has to be sent back to make the money work could put a negative spin on that value.

That is a good question but if I am rebuilding, I always want the highest pick to give me the best chance to get players in my tier. Green and the potential 2nd I like less.

Its 28 and not 27, fat fingers/typo on my part

I pegged Green versus Dedmon, as Green was worth 34 (not saying directionally Atlanta should do it).
So, 24 or 27 and 34? I have it as incredibly close.

What do I read into that? Either OKC is absolutely convinced they can flip Green for (more than) I think, or Milwaukee didn't even put 24 on the table? Or maybe OKC wants to go for he playoffs with Green? If I'm Giannis, I'm tapping my foot and wondering what Milwaukee's next move is.

Edit: 28. yes, I have 24 better. That was the small difference!

Kevin O’Connor reporting it was Bledsoe/24 as the Milwaukee offer.

Weird how everyone is quick to debunk any trade rumor around here yet if it’s about Ainge on any fan site then it’s gospel......

Which -- if you believe KOC -- confirms Bledsoe is negative value and that Milwaukee wasn't looking to improve at any costs, but rather improve at constant salary costs.

You’re right. I didn’t trace it back in the web link, but it just goes to a Terry Pluto article in the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, and he’s more an opinion guy and didn’t cite what rumor he heard.

I can see OKC saying hell no to a long term contract right now. I think the Bucks should have offered 24 and short term deals or even DD. Seems like they could have beat the Lakers offer if they really wanted to.

DAL should be on the phone right now trying to move Wright + 18 for Green + 28.

OKC gets in the range to take Poku, who they have a connection w/ apparently. DAL gets a better fit, who expires and drops 10 slots.

Dallas has to be calling I would think.

I also think teams interested in Paul would want Green too if aggregation rules don't become an issue.

I doubt the Hawks chase him but it looks like Dragic may be looking for long term stability if its out there.

Goran Dragic would like to return to the Heat, but tells Shams Charania of The Athletic (video link) he plans to listen to other offers when free agency starts Friday.

I’m hoping we can finish this championship run next season, but I know this is part of the business. It’s a lot of options here and we’ll see. I’m open to all suggestions, and from there on, we’re gonna see which one is the best possibility for me and for my family.

Thats how rumors work:

-if its about my team and I dont like it? Its fake.
-If its about my team and I like it? Its true.
-If its about your team? Its true.

This needs to be saved and added to the OP of every rumor thread from now until eternity. Perfection.

If the Knicks get him vs FVV would it be that bad of a turn in directions? Thibs likes his vets so if they can add Gallinari also, is that a 8th seed in the East? I like FVV better due to his youth but Dragic could save them some cap space to sign more players.

The Nets have two borderline All-Star guards on the roster -- Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie -- and several more intriguing young players.

In separate news, I was a borderline All-Star last year despite sitting out the year due to a stalemate in contract negotiations.
