Is anything else confirmed? It has to be broken into two deals if both OKC and Detroit are both using their cap space but you could also just include the Grant to Portland deal too.

Grant's salary would allow the Pistons to take Kemba on pre-cap space.

Silver just announced the Knicks/OKC trade (well, kind of): #11 for three 'conditional' future 1sts.

There is no indication it's part of the Knicks/Pistons/Hornets trade, at least not that I've heard.

That's not a bad haul for 13, that Denver pick will probably be conveyed in the 15-22 range with the east being a lot better, and they get 4 seconds, and save the money signing 13 this year

To NY, I assume. That Denver first to Charlotte was owned by OKC, so I assume it’s one that Ny just got for the 11.

Basically, NY is playing the arbitrage game, in a way.

Yeah doesn't seem as though any players were involved in that portion.

So NY traded 4 2nds to dump Kemba? 2 of their own, and two that likely fall in the mid to late 2nd next year.

Wait - a 1st a 4 2nds to dump Kemba????????????

Knicks got the MIL25FRP from Detroit.

#13+Kemba to Detroit
MIL25FRP to Knicks
DEN23FRP+4SRPs to Hornets

Don't like it for Hornets..

So no Gordon. It's Melton instead.

That makes sense if NY places a higher value on a 25 MIL 1st than 23 DEN 1st

I would rather have Eason, but its essentially 13 and four seconds to move down to the 15-22 range, which isn't that bad

Denver would need a lot of injury luck to get higher than 6th in the west IMO, and the east is much better

Was Danny Green the salary ballast Philly sent for Melton? Or did they cobble smaller pieces together?

UPDATE: Shams says it was indeed Green.

So its essentially a 3 teamer

#19 for #22 and #29
#22, #29 and Melton for #19, #23, Danny Green
#23 for Melton

I love Minnesota moving back and grabbing a center. I said it earlier, the top 10-30 centers have little difference and Minnesota locks in a center at cheap for 4 years.

Don't like those moves for Memphis at first glance, good chance they could've stood still to get the two guys they took.

Like it for both PHI and MIN (somewhat depending on matching from PHI).

I think via the Ivey negotiations they knew how much the Pistons loved Duren and it went like this...

Knicks: We want 5, who do you want at 11?
Pistons: Maybe there's a deal if Duren is there.
Knicks: Ivey just went 5, you still game?
Pistons: No deal, we love Ivey.
Knicks: Well if we can get Duren, would you take Kemba?
Pistons: Sure.

Knicks: If Dieng is there, would you give us a few picks for 11 if you keep 12?
Thunder: Sure.

Knicks: Want a bunch of picks for Duren if you can get Williams at 15?
Hornets: Sure.

Knicks: We got Duren, want to take Kemba?
Pistons: Sure.

Hornets: Don't release the details yet! I got screwed! Let's re-do this!

Based on their roster , Memphis confidence is not misplaced though .

I rather this then selling picks for cash .

I'm not criticizing Memphis specifically, they paid the market rate. I'm just saying that the market rate is insane.

I see . Sorry for the misread .

LOL. Knicks gonna Knick.

Woj did report that DET sent out the 2025 MIL pick in the Duran deal, so I'm holding out hope.

Next years DEN 1st plus 4 2nds to dump Kemba would be insane.

We got 4 bad 2nds for taking on DAJ and it was almost the same money if I'm not mistaken. So yeah, if the Knicks sent those 4 2nds and a 1st to dump Kemba, that's bad.

Yeah if we get the Bucks 1st it's what..?

'25 Bucks 1st plus 2 of OKC's picks for 11, 4 2nds and Kemba?

That's not bad.

What makes you say 15-22? They just had the worst injury luck of any team in the NBA and ended up at 21.
