This apparently makes it more difficult for the Kings to re-sign Richaun Holmes unless more deals are made.

For that, I say this is a win for the league. Holmes to Toronto 2021

From the pure trade value standpoint it’s a fine move for Sacramento IMO, but seems a continuation of their complete and total lack of any cohesiveness/sense of direction. It’s hard to imagine that franchise ever evolving beyond this annual 9/10 seed song and dance with how they operate. And that’s probably their goal with the new playoff structure to generate a moderate amount of fan interest and potential playin/playoff game revenues. It should last a few years until Fox demands out to go to an actually well run franchise.
Lol.. Monte who just took over this year, and the deadline isn't over. But let's judge his decisions prematurely, because ya know no time to make a follow up move to clear cap space lmao

Fair, forgot to account that it's a new GM. But the decision to ride the treadmill seems to be more an ownership directive than about the GM. Feels like a bigger picture thing than who the GM is because they've been acting this way for years. There's lots of money to be made for an owner by just squeaking into the playoffs vs rebuilding for something that can push higher. It's not a made up thing that some owners push for the former vs the risk/uncertainty. Few ownership groups have the appetite for an actual rebuild/"tear it down to build it back up" plan.

I like this both ways. Kings get Wright and Cojo gets reunited with Casey. Coach knows he can run an offense through Cojo, a very good team player. The kings have started to find their way and don't need his stability so much with the emergence of Hali and meshing of backcourt.

Voted Detroit won.

I have this a B+ Detroit, C- Sac; although Sac did get better for next year if you ignore the cap space and assets spent, and the lack of roster clarity.

He's just such a unique player. He's not bad at basketball, but his game is just different offensively. I think that leads to some frustration because you kinda need to let him do his thing to get value, but his thing doesn't work in a typical NBA offense.

And he just is so hard on himself, it really hurts his game--or at least it did in Dallas. You could watch him in real-time realize he passed on a shot he shouldn't have and then it wrecks him for several more possessions until Rick couldn't take it and yanked him.

Id pack Buddy, Barnes and Bagleys bags myself to make sure Holmes never leaves Sacramento. Most underrated player on Realgm.

I want him so badly on the Raptors, you have no idea. Just watched another game the Raptors lose by single digits swung by terrible Baynes minutes.

Only if you like watching him pound the rock into the floor for 15 seconds of a 24 second possession then pass it to Simone who had to bail it out with about five seconds left.

He’s a good spot role player within his abilities on the right team. But he is not a very good lead guard at all.

Who said anything about lead guard? He's a mediocre backup real point. And as he's not much of a 1v1 scorer, you can expect him to run an offense. But don't expect him or anyone to learn the offense/playbook or mesh with teammates on the day he is activated, on the worst team in the league, playing against the best team in the league.
