This followed by Barrett and 3 1sts for Trey Murphy III?

Essentially turning Quickley, Dick and Barrett to Kyrie and Murphy III on the court feels like a big upgrade?

Brandon Ingram in any deal that sends a center back?

Ingram Trade Center
Murphy/CMB/Barnes
Kyrie

Is a pretty solid lineup

No idea why Dallas would do that though. No benefit to losing games not controlling their picks and its such a huge drop off for a bad first. And if your 2nd best offensive player is The Knife....

IQ is a better offensive player than Marshall, but agree dallas should hold out for better packages

Hypothetical: Kawhi trade canceled, what does TOR do?

Raps should walk away from the deal. Let the Clippers and the league figure is out. They can always revisit but why be kept hostage.

Raps should then shop around those/some picks with Ingram.

I personally would offer the same package for Mobley but Cleveland probably wouldn’t do that (or at least they shouldn’t). Mobley would be perfect with Scottie and CMB.

What about something like...

Ingram to Dallas
PJ and Murphy to Toronto
Klay (waived), Dick and Raptors picks to New Orleans

We dont need PJ when we have CMB/Graves/Anderson at backup forwards. I dont understand the rationale in trading picks to turn ingram into murphy. Seems like a lateral move

Raps should only be trading 1sts now for an actual star that can score and carry a team offensively. That's not Mobley.

Unless the Raptors can find a deal that makes them an ECF contender (at the very least) they should just stand pat and see what happens with internal improvement. Given the strength of the East it doesn’t make sense to throw in draft picks for a trade that probably keeps them as a first round underdog.

What is the upside with Kawhi? How does he make the Raptors better? You can pretty much count on losing 75% of the games he misses so to win 50 games the Raptors have to win almost every game he plays. For Kawhi to improve the Raptors he has to have Bird or Magic type impact. He then has to outplay MJ level to win a 7-game series because he is missing 2 games on avg. His availability caps his impact potential. I dont understand how you want to trade for a player knowing that between 30-50 games a season you can get more production from someone in the stands.

He is an old man (by NBA standards) who should be transitioning into a 6th man role playing 25mpg but he is an ALL-NBA player because of the lack of talent of the current era. The fact that men in their mid to late 30s can play the wing position in the current NBA is a sure sign devolution of athleticism or rapid PED use.

What would be the worst the NBA could do over this issue with Leonard?

They could void his contract, suspend him, fine the Clippers and or take a #1 pick from them.

Trade is going through.

Next Raptors trade:

-Quickly
-CMB
-29' FRP (protected)
-32 FRP

for Booker, 2nd round picks or any of our first round pick swaps in '27 and '29

Roll with

Barnes + Kawhi + Poetl + Booker

Bookers new contract ain't looking that good 35% of your cap for a guy who will be making $70.million a year.

He's a good player but IMHO he's not worth using the remaining draft assets we have after the Kawhi deal
