Gafford, Demar, Martin, Klay, Hardy, Powell, 2026 Sac, 2027 SAS first to Utah
Sexton, Lauri to Sacramento
LaVine to Dallas
Sac gets younger and better.
Utah gets two unprotected firsts. Assume you can find a home for Gafford, Demar and Martin pretty easily.. Utah likes dealing with LAL, Gaff/Klay make a lot of sense there..
Dallas gets an offensive guard.. staying under the second apron likely means finding some second round pick contracts to fill the back of the bench. Or moving on from one of Naji/PJ.
Thats too much for Lauir, imo. 2 unprotected 1sts for a guy who was pretty bad last year on a big contract is kind of crazy, no? I get that Ainge will want to be paid for what Lauri did 2 years ago and to ignore last year, but im not sure why teams would ignore it. In an 8 year career, he's had what, 1 star caliber season? Is that enough for 2 unprotected picks, 1 of them from a SAC team that will be favoured to miss the playoffs next year?
I'd go top 8-10 protection on the SAC pick and leave the other one unprotected, and i still think thats a lot as UTA isnt really eating any bad money (besides Hardy, but he makes baby money). I just dont think SAC can give up the 2026 pick unprotected...theyre too far away to do that for a player who might not be a star.
