I'm glad you guys didn't take Ivey, I probably would've liked to see you take Sharpe though personally. He seemed ideal at SG or SF.

To be honest I was dead against taking Sharpe, mainly because I just didn't know enough about him and while he looks like he could be a star, it was a risk.
The closer the draft got, I warmed up to him and while I would be nervous if the Kings picked him, I would also be okay with it because he has the boom, go big or go home potential.
That's probably because I watched a little more film on him too and there were a few that saw his scrimmages that were impressed.

He probably need a better environment than one the kings can offer him .

I don't think it's the environment (not right now, but yes last few years in particular it was) as much as it is the Kings have had poor development staff, yet they clearly think/thought they were good. I get the feeling that is the case in a lot of areas in Sacramento.

I'm willing to give Mike Brown's staff a year to see if they're capable of developing players, developing a game plan, and developing a system whilst also putting things right in other area.

Woj could just be wrong

Nothing's impossible, but I would be very reluctant to ever bet against Woj :D

I’m just saying…

So the Gordon to Philly trade fell through. Any other options for Houston?

He needs a lot of minutes to play through his mistakes, probably a strong mentor as well (kings may have the mentor) and a team that’s not in a rush to make the playoff.

Oh yeah, in that aspect I'm not sure the Kings would be patient enough. Harrison Barnes would be a good mentor for him, the ultimate professional, but yeah I completely agree there.
They would say all the right things about supporting him, but they can't wait 2-3 years for him to really hit his straps.
