The Wolves would much rather keep Rubio and stay out of all these bad trades. :-)
Rose is vastly overpaid, nobody is dealing for him with anyone of value.

I can't really see any permutation of a Rose for Rubio trade that would interest Minnesota. Chicago just doesn't have any movable pieces that fit with the Wolves and it would take some major value to make up the difference between Rose's and Rubio's value (Rose's salary and steep drop-off in production make him nearly impossible to move).

Like Hell we do. Good God.

Keep that guy the hell away from my team.

As said many times, the Bulls aren't selling low on Derrick Rose. If anything, they'd wait until his contract year to sell him if his value jumps. No point in trading Derrick Rose for garbage.

Waiting a year isn't some magic trick to increase his value - it means Bulls ownership eating 20+ million dollars worth of disgruntled, ineffective player. Once they done that then, sure, his negative value is lower, because they paid for a bunch of it out of their own pockets. As a fan that sounds great, but it may not to ownership...

And value can always go lower - you only ever know that you're selling low after the fact. Right now a lot of people think Rose could, potentially go back to playing at something like a star level. The longer he doesn't do that, the less they'll believe he might.

^Yeah, Rose's value can always go lower. Another season ending injury and you can't even pay to move him.

And of course people like to propose trades when someone's value is low. And as much as fans may hate it, GM's do make moves at those times, so while the offers may seem low, I don't think the circumstances make them unreasonable.

Suns trade:
Markieff/Bledsoe/Goodwin

Bulls trade:
Gibson/Rose

Bulls get youth and PG for their future

Suns get Rose who would probably do well with the suns' medical staff.

Bledsoe is a much better, infinitely more reliable player at this point. Basing a trade on "their doctors are pretty good" seems like a bad idea.

Knight+Markieff+Goodwin for Rose+Gasol

Who says no? I mean the Bulls could put the ball in Butlers hand more with Knight as a PG. And I think they want to run more on offense don't they? I think those guys can run. I guess Phoenix only does it if they think they can keep those 2 healthy and think they can make them reach the playoffs in the west.

It's not a flashy trade for the Bulls sure but you get 3 solid veterans to plug in wholes and help create a more stable/balanced roster. The Knicks would take a chance that a chance of scenery and maybe some Phil Jackson zen would get the a Rose that is closer to the 2011 version and less the current day version (which is kinda crappy). Salary commitments (assuming Afflalo and Williams both choose not to opt out) would be about the same for the same length of time. And the Bulls wouldn't have to include any "incentive" like most of the other trades.

I don't particularly like this trade because it could potentially destroy any positive moral in the locker room we have worked towards building while giving up arguably our second best scorer (I know it's too early to refer to Afflalo as such since he hasn't played yet) and getting a player in Derrick Rose that at absolute best case doesn't necessarily fit in the offense we are building.

I would personally prefer to add incentive to a third team taking on Derrick Rose while creating additional 2016 cap space and adding two available roster spots.

Brooklyn gets:
Derrick Rose
Taj Gibson
Cleanthony Early
2016 Sacramento Kings First Round Draft Pick
2019 Cleveland Cavaliers Second Round Draft Pick
2019 Houston Rockets Second Round Draft Pick

Chicago gets:
Joe Johnson
Jose Calderon

New York gets:
TPE(s)

If the other teams are willing to do this, yeah, I'd do that as well.

This deal would be tougher to eat, but let's say including the 2017 Houston Rockets Second Round Draft Pick and replacing Cleanthony Early with Langston Galloway would get the deal done AND the Heat sent us Mario Chalmers (as a veteran point guard so Jerian Grant wasn't thrown to the wolves without Galloway or Calderon) and Chris Andersen in order to get below the luxury tax.

Brooklyn gets:
Derrick Rose
Taj Gibson
Langston Galloway
2016 Sacramento Kings First Round Draft Pick (via Chicago)
2017 Houston Rockets Second Round Draft Pick (via New York)
2019 Houston Rockets Second Round Draft Pick (via New York)
2019 Cleveland Cavaliers Second Round Draft Pick (via New York)

Chicago gets:
Joe Johnson
Jose Calderon

Miami gets:
TPE(s)

New York gets:
Mario Chalmers
Chris Andersen

Considering that we still dump Calderon and get a veteran point guard for depth there, is that a deal New York would have to consider to essentially take a step back this year, but have more cap space this off-season with not having Calderon on the books plus not having to re-sign Galloway since we would no longer own his rights. Or is Galloway too much to give up just to dump Calderon?
Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

I don't see a way to make that work under the cap Rose's contract is $20 million Burke's is $2.6. Even if you add Booker at $4.8 it still doesn't work. The Jazz would have to start putting in more people like Alec Burks to make it work.

Yeah I thought we were much more under the cap and we could probably put something together but doubt it will work.

Much rather have Gibson then Noah. He fits better next to Lopez and can hit that mid range shot . Also why are the Nets giving up any picks? the Nets should be getting at least 1 or 2 1st round picks for taking those large contracts and giving them expiring contracts back just like other ppl on this forum have suggested .
