Portland would be open to moving Ed Davis for a SG so that they can let Alan Crabbe walk.

Also, I have it on a very good source that any Westbrook to the Lakers deal would have to start with Ingram. If he's off the table, the Thunder won't even talk to them.

What are the chances of Westbrook going to the Lakers in FA? Clippers are a better choice.

No they aren't.

It would be Russ' team. Unlike the Clips, where he would share the spotlight with Blake and CP3.

Clips would most likely trade CP3 to sign Russ and Russ-Blake-DAJ is better than what the Lakers can offer.

Does blake stay? Does CP opt out next year in order to add a few years to his deal. Don't you think westbrook would want to know who he is going to be playing with for four years? All three parties Team-CP and Blake would have to give assurances to westbrook that they would be there for at least two years. Imagine how he would feel if he signed the Blake left two day later and CP opted out one season later? Rivers would bail, and hewould be by himself on a team with no draft choices and no talent to compete. just him and DAJ and no help.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the Lakers managed to pit the Thunder and Clippers against each other next offseason. Right now, they've got more than enough cap space to sign one max free agent. If the Lakers could get one of the Thunder or Clippers to be afraid they're going to lose their prized FA (Westbrook for the Thunder, Blake for the Clippers), and they could get the other via S&T.

Sure cause being an annual second round exit is a totally awesome place for a franchise to be.

I've talked to a few people this morning and I'm starting to put some stuff together. I have no intention of putting this on Twitter until it is a LOT more solid, but here it is:

The Okafor stuff re-starting is just a smokescreen. The Celtics like him, but they are going a different direction.

With Gay wanting to move, the Kings have been packaging him with Koufos and getting no one to bite.

The Clippers loved the way they played with 4 smalls around Jordan. They wouldn't mind starting Mbah a Moute at PF, provided they could upgrade at SF, ideally with someone who could slide up to PF. The Clippers also want someone to back up Jordan beyond. Speights.

The Celtics are hinting at a big name which sounds a lot to me like Blake Griffin. And the Celtics are holding off doing anything with Holland (nice extra piece for salary matching that could just be waived by the new time ie: Chris Babb last year) and Zeller (maybe a S&T).

So, I think there exists the potential for a three team trade that delivers Griffin to Boston, Gay to the Clippers, and Crowder and pieces to Sacramento. Sacramento really like Rozier and Collison has the pending legal troubles.

It wouldn't shock me at all if something comes together in the next few days. It also wouldn't surprise if nothing comes together at all. A regular trade is hard enough, adding another team makes it that much harder.

FWIW, I also put this on the Celtics board.

As a Sacramento fan, I am in for a Crowder for Gay trade. Like, I would do it in about 1.2 seconds.

I don't get why the Clippers wouldn't just take Crowder though.

EDIT:
This trade would work, salary wise. Add picks where needed.

To Clips:
Rudy Gay
Kostas Kufous

To BOS:
Blake

To Sac:
Crowder
Rozier
Amir Johnson

I just put a couple of rumor tweets from Boston radio guys on another thread that would fit very neatly with what you're saying.

Doc likes guys he has experience with. He has a good relationship with Gay and doesn't know Crowder nearly as well. And he'll always take the vet over the younger guy when given the choice.

That may be Doc's worst move yet.

I apologize guys, but I'm not going to get anything else on this until later this afternoon here in Vegas/early evening on the East Coast if I get anything else at all.

I'm at Pro Scout School today and tomorrow for a large chunk of each day. I'll try to get back to you if I can, but don't count on it.

Not even Rivers is this stupid.

I will now be praying to as many gods as I can that this happens. Would love this move especially if it includes Rozier.

I'd figure that even Rivers doesn't consider this without more value. A decent pick from Boston (though would Rivers care about a 2018 Nets 1st?) and a young player from Sacramento - McLemore if the Kings are very, very lucky but most likely WCS.
