I don't know but NY has 29, Atl has 25-26, and Charlotte has 19. No one can offer him a max but the Pelicans.

Think they could clear the cap for him. Seem like a way to run a player out the door making him go get his max.

There are too many moving parts that haven’t settled but as of right now with Ariza, Hill, Miller on the team OKC has under 75m in committed salary.

Presti need a statue in OKC if he pulls Ingram away from Pels.

Edit: They have the picks to do it.

Not sure this means much for the Bucks with whats left on the market.

Nothing signed yet. Turn it into a non guarantee. If it’s a player option? Just guarantee it.

FWIW Smitty has a very different take here. I don’t see it but that likely means I’m just missing something.

Guessing this means no Rondo? Maybe not, maybe this is just depth. What do the Hawks have left in cap?

Like that better than Rondo for sure. Rondo offers more offensively, but he's also a potential chemistry disaster and maybe the last guy I want as a mentor to Trae.

Per the reports the Hawks could fit him into the room exception. If so, they still have 25 - 26 million in cap. If not, they have 20 - 21 million left.

I agree. Dunn's a much better player then regular season Rondo and Rondo as a vet leader on young teams hasn't gone well.

He's obviously much better on defense then offense so they'll need to have other offensive guys on-court when Young sits (Gallo certainly a good start there).

I like it because Dunn is great defensively. The better part is subjective as Rondo has like 10 years of playoff experience. Rondo to the Clippers may be a forgone conclusion.

They probably didn't want to use it and go into the tax. It's one thing to do it for Bogdan, another for whoever the could get with the mle

I think Rondo skillset raising the ceiling more of a team than Dunn. Dun

I view a poor offense defensive guard is like a poor defense offensive center. Scoring, Spacing and playing making is kind of something you expect from a PG in a guard oriented league. Both lack in scoring. Rondo has a sizable advantage in shooting and play making.

Possibly, but he’d have to be taking a bit less. The Room Exception is $4.767m, and 5% raise, so it’d max out at 2/$9,772,350 total. If they rounded in the reports, it would absolutely be possible.

Hawks need more play making but Dunn’s defense is truly elite. Won’t hurt with the stable of guards/wings that need to learn on that end in ATL. And I hated bringing Rondo’s mercurial personality into that young lockerroom.

Dunn could be a good bargain at only 5 million a season. I wanted Rondo more but was aware of him wanting to go to the Clippers ( contender ). I would be bothered a lot more if the Hawks missed out on a shooter.

Right now, we need somebody to cover up Trae on the defensive end and his contract will fit in exception, so Atlanta still have all of this cap space for Bogi

Based on the terms reported by Wojnarowski, it sounds like Dunn could end up fitting into Atlanta’s room exception ($9.77MM over two years) once the team uses up its cap room. If that’s the plan, the Hawks should still have in the neighborhood of $25MM to spend on other players.

Sounds like that quote is just hoping that Woj is rounding, which he may be. Not that they’re reporting anything.

Just like the Pacers and a justin Holidays deal, we’ll see if it’s an exception or whatnot later when everything is filed.

Also if the Hawks spend 25 to 26 more or only 20 to 21 more.
