With the Hornets set up to be the team with the most cap space to bid on free agents, I don't see the front office absorbing any longterm contracts.

And1 for the title.

The guy I would be interested in from the Hornets is PJ, not Gordo.

The title would be even better if this was a trade designed to get Hayward to Phoenix.

Phoenix have nothing worth considering. They have nil assets outside their best players.

Change heavily to lightly and we have a deal. Ben is just too big of an anchor and proven malcontent not to get something very nice back if we are taking on his salary next year.

I feel Hayward's halfcourt game fits with Luka or Embiid. Those teams have matching contracts. Multiple permutations to work with.

Philly has matching contracts. But should aim higher and more reliable.

Dallas doesn't have matching contracts unless Charlotte is willing to take on future money without Dallas compensating them for it. Which Charlotte should not do.

I think like most teams, both of them would have more interest if he gets bought out.

ORL sends Isaac (non-guaranteed), Fultz (expiring), 2 srps
CHA sends Hayward rental, Nick Richards
* if Isaac gets healthy, CHA wins in a big way…if not, no loss of cap space and a couple srps. Fultz might actually find a new home, backing up Lamelo and even freeing him up a bit at times. CHA’s wings would enjoy running with Fultz…again- no risk audition

Another very reasonable offer.

I'd pull the trigger on this trade. The idea of adding Fultz to the team intrigues me. He's a good enough distributor and defender that I think he could realistically play with LaMelo (to give him some off ball opportunities) as well as back him up.
