Contingent upon the Chicago deal getting approved or could be easily combined with Chicago's deal to make it work. In any case this is a major trade.

The Knicks trade:
Stephon Marbury
David Lee
Ben Gordon
Randolph Morris

The Wizards deal:
Gilbert Arenas
Andray Blanche
Nick Young
Etan Thomas

The Washington Wizards accept. While we give up a lot of talent, we also get alot in return. We instantly upgrade our starting backourt, while also improving our frontcourt depth. We believe David Lee is one of the most underrated players in the NBA and will immediately challenge for a starting spot.

If I want to sign a vet, is this where I announce it? I have 3 current vets I would be interested in signing and I have the space on my roster.

For the moment you cannot sign anyone not on an NBA roster. We did have some issues in previous games with that. Bryant and I are discussing options has to signing NBDL players and once everyone gets their roster posts in we will let you guys know. Also Denver would be under the roster limit of twelve players (you would have 11) with that last trade. You must be in the roster limits, no trade causing you to go under or over will be allowed.

The trade will and has gone thru, give me a list of the bloody players I can sign to get to the league min of 12. I emailed/pm'd you and others asking for this list. Our trade should not be stuck 12 hours later because you cannot figure out the free agent protocal.

I refuse to be at a disadvantage by not allowing my trade due to your free agent rule.

Denver would have 11 players on their roster, but also has the rights to Axel Hervelle, Sani Becirovic, Xue Yuyang. If it is a matter of you not allowing my trade because I cannot sign a vet (clearing roster spots to sign a vet was my plan) then I can activate one of these guys.

Thus my trade is allowed.

Also, according to Larry Coon's CBA rule book, rule 64 says

A team must have 12 players on its active roster, although they can drop to 11 for up to two weeks at a time.

http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#64

Thus, once again, my trade is valid and it has gone thru. Also Klomp(washington) has made another trade and cutting back on this trade effects him.

PM me if you have issues. Otherwise make it official.

The decision has come to allow/disallow you to sign:

NBDL Players: Yes (For the league minimum in a one year deal based on experience in the league; can be signed long-term in the offseason if wanted) [NO 10 day contracts, as this will be too hard to keep track of in terms of salaries]

Players your teams owns rights to: No (This was a hard decision, but the NBA and other pro basketball leagues have buy-out issues that we can't imitate in the game, sorry)

Free agents: Not during the season (Sorry guys, acting as agents with players currently out of the NBA, and whether or not these guys actually want to play too large an issue. In the offseason we will compile a list of available free agents, and most notable ones that were free agents during the season will be incl.)

Let's just make this easy. For general purposes, you must be at the roster limit after any certain trade. If you want to do that, simply sign as many NBDL Players as you need (for the league minimum based on experience) to fill up those roster spots before you make the trade.

So revprodeji, just sign an NBDL player and your trade is accepted.

Its a really risky deal for me because if I absolutely must resign Gordon or the deal looks really stupid for me. He'll cost a pretty penny but with Randolph and Crawford's long term contracts coming off the books the impact of resigning Gordon should be easy to absorb.

If a player with a minimum contract is waived by another team, he is fair game as long as you have a roster spot.

Signing approved.

FYI the math required is to show that the team receiving more salary is not receiving 125% + $100,000 more than they are sending out. Things you must keep in mind are BYC players and PPP players. If you have any questions about how any of this works, please email me nickclansbergen@hotmail.com and I will do my best to explain it all.
Also, use shamsports.com for all salaries purposes (unless its not listed there, in which case hoopshype is ok).

Toronto trades/Sacramento Receives:
Anthony Parker
Joey Graham
2009 2nd Round Pick (Toronto)

Sacramento Trades/Toronto Receives:
Ron Artest

Trade ID #4475776

Raptors accept, Artest is the tough defender I need for the playoff run to compete with some better basketball clubs, even if he ends up opting-out.
