So Siakam for no salary in return and picks from Sacramento? I guess show me how it works with Indy getting no salary back and you might not get yelled at?

If the Kings trade picks now for Siakam, I may have a full mental breakdown.

We should not be adding more 30 year olds :banghead: :banghead:

Does Siakam even turn the Kings into a sure top 6 in the west?

Didn’t say no salary :( just a lot less salary.. but it probably could be no salary if you wanted?

Klay and a first to Brooklyn
Marshall and Pascal to Sacramento
3 firsts to Indy
Demar to Dallas

Could probably dump Klay a lot cheaper if you wanted to get creative and Indy should just take him… but just an ugly rushed idea. Throw in Dallas 2nds to someone? Or you could give Dallas 2nds and Dallas can make it Naji?

2026 Sac to Brooklyn, 2028+2030 Sac + 2031 Minn firsts to Indy. Feel like Pascal is worth that, maybe others are lower on him and want to keep one of the firsts out?

Then the vet min from Sac can go to Brooklyn or Indy..

Huh? They signed their two most important free agents.

I'm also confused by this statement from our beloved RookieJazz.

2022 Off-Season: Massive Trade
2023 Off-Season: Stay the course
2024 Off-Season: Massive Trade
2025 Off-Season: Stay the course

Somehow, Minnesota also has more intriguing young players who could become something at this moment in time than they did in 2023, the previous off-season, where they stayed the course.

A simple and effective off-season for Minnesota.

Meanwhile, we are 2 weeks from the NBA Finals, and I feel like we are going to have a Top 5 pick in 2026.

I do think Minny needs to make moves because their window is closing. Gobert is aging, and they are still looking for a PG. Houston, Nuggets and Dallas will be better. TWolves at risk to be out of play-in, IMHO.

"Their window is closing" is a funny thing to say for a team that has a core group of a 26-year old, a 25-year old, and a 24-year old that the front office is building around. Also, the only two players not currently under team control for 2026-27 and further are 38-year olds Mike Conley and Joe Ingles.

Its a way to get him on a cheaper number for next year though right? Pay him to rehab this year as a bonus while keeping his cap hit lower.

Now it might not matter because he is getting all his Bucks money and so he might just pick based on where he wants to be with no worries over money, but that would be a reason.

True. My personal opinion is coloring this because I don't think he'll be an NBA player when he comes back. Small guard coming off a devastating injury, 36 by the time he returns, already a bad defender, negative on/off this year...

Minnesota missed a lot of games from Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo. ANT/Naz/McDaniels and Dillingham/Young guys are all improving.

They are still a 50+ win team, health permitting.

They're betting on continuity, which worked well for them the last time (first year with Gobert was so-so, next season was 3 seed and one of the best defences ever).

Even if they were at risk of the play-in this year...this is probably an ok year to do it. Spend some time developing the two guys you drafted as an exit strategy for Gobert (Beringer, Rocco), get more experience for Dillingham, Clarke and TSJ, continue building chemistry with the short term core of Ant-Jaden-Naz-Randle-Gobert-DDV, then maybe wind up with a lottery pick if it goes sour (Jazz have the swap but they're aiming to be horrendous this season, so it's largely irrelevant).

Despite my best efforts, I'm truly disappointed that I never got any traction for his perfect nickname, "The Emu".

Tim is just fine as a bench shooter. Streaky and can be a black hole, but has good size and can do a bit more than just catch and shoot as a bonus. Plus a real professional. Wouldn't have minded him back in Dallas if he got down to a min contract.

Not sure what to attribute it to, but he really rehabbed his rep during his I believe last Dallas stint.

We have posters on this board who hate when players try and improve their situation. But man look at Denver this off-season compared to last all because Jokic finally said something. It's a shame he had to in order to get them to work to improve the team, but at least on paper they absolutely have.

Luka needs to start talking in LA right about now.
