What's still left trade-wise? Lakers or Hornets need a center if they don't get Ayton. Bucks need a guard. What other needs are clear? Who are the best players on the market?

A two-part trade that begins with the Cavs getting out of the second apron and getting LeBron back for a title run feels the most likely to me

Don't know what the pick situation is there, but that gives the Cavs an elite wing talent and the story would be incredible. The Lakers don't get better defensively (they get worse), but Garland is an interesting fit next to Luka.

If hes willing to spend another year away from family, this is absolutely the spot for him to go. He walks into a starting role with 2 trees he would play so well with. Much better for NBA than him backing up Harden or playing with all the 2gs in Phx.

I don't LeBron has this kind of value...
Look for things like:
Wiggins/Rozier/Ware
Beal/Maluach

If the deal happened with Dallas, LAL would be paying the 1st not, Dallas, and Dallas would need to read carefully to fill the roster under the 2nd Apron
which they are hardcapped at...

I think Dallas would need to add some serious incentive for LA taking Klay. But yah, Bronny probably goes with. Though I would be tempted to keep him if I were the Lakers just to spite LeBron for wanting out.

BTW, I find it hard to fathom the incompetence displayed by the Lakers, except for self sabotage to force LeBron to demand a trade and them turning the page, I keep going back and forth with this because Pelinka has shown before he can be this bad...

The Lakers are having a very disappointing offseason so far... let's imagine... Ayton signs with Indiana (my bet) or even the Hornets... free agency is drying up...
LAKERS lack assets to land starting-caliber players, and in this scenario, LeBron is asking for a trade so as not to waste the last moments of his career. In this bleak, but in my opinion, possible scenario, Luka signs an extension?

No. Claxton is probably not worth his contract. So the value is getting off the future years and a low level prospect.

But good to see fan prices in Brooklyn are still set triple retail even after the stuff that sells goes for far less.

There's nothing wrong with Claxton's contract, and there's no value in getting the declining future years off. Knecht has no value. I don't think it's a given that he survives all 4 years of his rookie deal. The Nets will want draft compensation OR a player with some longer term value for Claxton if he's being moved. Maxi-Vincent-Knecht alone doesn't offer that.
