Simple Swap: NJ/MIA

New Jersey sends:
Chris Douglas-Roberts
Miami sends:
Mario Chalmers
Why?
Two players who have had semi-disappointing sophomore seasons who are both on their organizations bad sides get a change of scenery. Both are second round picks from the same draft and so are both paid the same. NJ could use a cheap backup point guard for next season and Miami could use a cheap backup wing.

Miami cant do this without making sure they have a better option at PG other than Arroyo. And Chalmers has more value IMO even though I do like CDR.

Looks like I'm going to have to slap a B again... But this I could live with this trade...
It is worth mentioning though that for fit reasons I could see both teams declining this trade. Chalmers would inevitably be stuck behind Harris and CDR would inevitably be stuck behind Wade, at least on their current teams there's more of a chance that these guys could develop into significant contributors or dare I say starters (which when you think about it isn't too far-fetched to say both players in their short careers have shown flashes of being starting caliber players)...

It would be even more useless for you guys if you win Wall.

If NJ get Wall, change it to Beasley + Chalmers for Harris & CDR.

Miami needs Chalmers more than they need CDR, IMO...

I doubt Chalmers is more then a mid minute backup by opening tipoff next season, I really don't think he is that important to Miami in the grand scheme of things. He was ousted from the starting lineup for Rafer Alston and then replaced again by Arroyo when Alston was suspended. His minutes have steadily declined and he was publicly criticized numerous times IIRC.
