Big Trade NJ/SA/POR/Utah a must read please

despite all of the cap space New jersey has i feel it will be difficult to attracted premire free agents I am not down for over paying free agents ie Josh Childress, David Lee LInus Kleiza

a few concepts

San Antonio needs to rebuild around duncan and ginobili

New Jersey needs to be competitive next year and have international appeal

Utah needs to tighten up there roster

POrtland needs a few upgrades.... point guard

a review of rights http://www.draftexpress.com/rankings/NB ... -Held/held nba free agents

San Antonio trades: Tony Parker
San Antonio receives: Brook Lopez, Courtney Lee, rights to Viktor Claver

Utah trades: Andrei Kirlenko, rights to Ante Tomic
Utah receives: Rudy Fernandez, Yi Jianlian, Martell Webster, #22

Portland trades: Greg Oden Martell Webster, Rudy Fernandez, Dante Cunningham, rights to Viktor Claver & Joel freeland, #22
Portland receives: Devin Harris, Terrence Williams, #3

New Jersey trades: Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, Terrence Williams, Courtney Lee, YI Jianlian #3
New Jersey receives: Greg Oden, Tony Parker, Andrei Kirlenko, Dante Cunningham, rights to Ante Tomic and Joel Freeland, #9

San Antonio does really well here they fortunate to get such value for a point guard this is a slam dunk, for them, they also acquire cap relief ireally wanted include Dejuan Blair inthe deal but new it was a deal breaker

New Jersey is going to have a hell of time attracting prime free agents, this gives them a very good trio to start with, Parker/AK47/Oden. Particularity since the owner wants to create an international buzz, Ak47 and Parker do that, Parker is top 7 point guard, you paired that with Ak 47 verstaility as a stat filler and unrealize potential Oden not a bad combo, I also acquire two very highly skilled unpolished centers to bring over gradually. Dante Cunningham is an end of rotation guy who does the dirty work.
This trade also allows then at least 32-38 million cap space next year, there will be alot less team with cap space they can make a run a player Al Horford, Jokim Noah, Carmelo Anthony, with Little competiton from the league. at the #9 draft position there a few interesting player going to be avaiable ( Paul George, LUke Babbit, Xavier Henry, Ed Davis, Epke Udoh.) PLenty of talent from them to be had.

Portland immeadity improves there point guard position, they get draft an elite big man #3 (Cosuins or Monroe, Favors) and they get a compliment to Nicloas Batum in Terrence Williams

Utah is likely going to loose some free agents with this trade they free up some cap space in this trade they address alot of needs in this trade specifically outside shooting and bench player, they also have been interested in acquiring another pick (presumably to draft a big man)

Only the Spurs would do that.

There is no way NJ gives up Lopez AND #3 for Tony Parker, AK47, and Greg Oden.

New Jersey would decline, I would do it if I were Portland, Spurs obviously say yes, and I'm not sure about Utah.

You're delusional if you don't think Utah or Portland does it.

This is seriously the worst Nets trade ever proposed in the history of RealGM.

 Portland? They wouldn't touch this with Oden's exposed shlong. Utah is whatever they get depth but it doesn't really help them at all.

You're kidding right?
I thought it was only a large percentage of PDX fans that thought Oden was untouchable?
This is a World Series game winning homerun for the Blazers.

I would rather have Lopez than Oden (knees, offense). I would rather have Harris than Parker (age, contract). I would rather have the #3 than the #9 (duh). I'd rather have Lee/Williams/Yi than AK/Dante/eurostashes (youth, capspace, talent).

I guess what I'm saying is that I'd rather have NOT this deal, than have it.

Portland gets a young, former all-star PG in Devin Harris, a bright young SG/SF in T-Will and the #3 (Cousins?) which a chance to replace the failure that is Greg Oden by giving up Oden and a bunch of back-ups.

Oden > everything that Portland gets in this trade

Yeah, POR and SAS are obvious slam dunks. Anyone thinking otherwise are big time homers.

NJN gets robbed. As the OP suggests, if they're really trying to shake up the team and get a new identity, then... eh, nevermind, it's still awful. I don't even know what they're trying to do (go young? go for it?). Very schizophrenic for them.

UTH is the one team I'm really on the fence about. Sure, they save a lot of $$, but as long as they let Boozer walk, they're safely under the cap anyway. And how does trading AK for a bunch of PDX's B prospects make allow them to "tighten up there [sic] roster"? I guess if their sick of AK and want a handful of shooters, then maybe, but it's not a slam dunk deal for them.

Serious fail for Portland. We don't want draft potential at this point. We give up way too much to upgrade from Miller to Harris (which IMO is not a huge upgrade anyways). Oden isn't untouchable, but unless the FO falls in love with Favors (and no thanks on Cousins and Monroe is not a franchise builder) this is absolutely not in portlands interest.

slam dunk for SA and Portland.......Oden looks more like Bowie Part 2 than a franchise center....and just horrible for NJ....come on people!....Hopefully Oden's schlong holds up better than the rest of his body
NJ keeps Williams and Lee to make this deal reasonable

Even with Williams and Lee staying, this deal is still garbage for NJ.

I would do a trade around those two pieces in a heartbeat. But Oden goes for no less than top tier talent simply because of his intangible value to us.

I wouldn't, there are other pieces NOH would want more anyway.
