I would give you our EC's. Joel Pryzbilla + Andre Miller. Both are starting quality when healthy (though obviously don't start Miller in front of Wall).

These are the kinds of deals that I think make sense for both teams. As the offseason wears on, I think we'll see that Arenas won't seem quite so overpaid after guys like David Lee, Rudy Gay, Carlos Boozer and Joe Johnson sign max or near-max contracts. Would you rather pay Joe Johnson $100M over 5 years, or Gilbert Arenas $80M over 4 years while shipping out $12-15M in bad contracts in the process? Your answer may still be Joe Johnson, but you have to think about it - particularly if your team is in need of a PG.
I think an Eddy Curry for Gilbert Arenas trade makes the most sense for all parties. The four best free agents are Wade, Lebron, Bosh and Amare. I figure at least three of them (including Wade and Lebron) will end up with Miami and Chicago. At best NY will land the one of Bosh/Amare for the max. After that they'll be sitting with roughly $18M in cap room. They could sign a guy like Johnson; but a better option would be to sign Lee for $11M or so and then use their remaining cap room to facilitate an Arenas for Curry trade. A lineup of Arenas, Gallinari, Lee and Bosh would be a decent consolation prize after not landing Lebron or Wade.

Re: arenas trade value
The problem about Gil is his off the court antics and injury problems. It's a huge risk for any team to take on Gil so it's doubtful you get full expirings, especially when his contract runs 4 years.
I would expect partial expirings and taking back a smaller bad contract.
I would be upset if Portland offered Miller/Pryz for Gil.
Wiz best bet is to hang onto Gil and hope he stays healthy and try and trade him next year IMO.

Curry's jail bait. I think it's his dream come true. You know what his first come on is going to be..."Look at me, Dave, look" and "Come and touch it, Dave."

I'd love him on the Lakers, but I just don't see it working out in any way. He'd be a beast in Dallas.

The problem for the Knicks is that it will be difficult for that first franchise guy to commit to there when there's no help (and while dynamo squads are being put together simultaneously in Miami and Chicago).
That hurdle might be insurmountable......unless they do something crazy like this combined with a very nice sales job.
It well illustrates that Gil's trade value is tied into external factors more than anything else.

Ya thats about the right value.... I'd also swap Nick Young for Rudy in the deal if Portland wanted too... which I assume they would rather have Young. We'd do this deal and then flip Miller to a 3rd team.... I'm thinking the Pacers for expiring(s)... Ford/Dunleavy/whomever....
