Suns/Pistons/Magic: Barbosa-Orl,Gortat-Det,Vill-Suns

Deal is done after Gortat's BYC status expires.

Pistons trade Villy for Gortat
Suns trade Barbosa for Villy
Magic trade Gortat for Barbosa

WHY FOR THE PISTONS?
1) Get a tough center that allows Monroe to swap between 4 and 5.

WHY FOR THE MAGIC?
1) barbosa gives them a speedy, bench scorer. Something needed with Barnes and JWILL likely gone.

WHY FOR THE SUNS?
1) Villy is a perfect fit for the Suns offense.

If I'm Detroit, I cut out the Magic and just take the expiring deal.

understandable. a lot of piston fans hate CV but i definitely want to see him play for us next season. he can be a starter but i think he will make a very good 6th man. our bench could be pretty good with bynum/CV/wallace.

the Magic arent trading Gortat for a 6'3 SG owed over $14 mil over the next 2 years. The value of Gortat backing up Dwight at the center position is bigger. We can find a SG to come off the bench for offense for a lot less than $7 mil.

I'd let Frye/Amare walk, sign Scola and have CV come off the bench.

I agree. unlike most pistons fans, i'm looking forward to see what Charlie brings next season.

I'd like to cut the suns out, and trade Rip for Gortat and whatever poo they add to match salaries.
