Re: Hornets / Pacers Trade
Are you joking?
That's horrible value for Granger. OK, Collison is good. But Okafor has a huge contract that he hasn't lived up to. Julian Wright is basically worthless, sorry. And that pick won't be any good.
keep in mind, the general estimate was that NOH would probably have to add collison just to dump okafor's contract for expirings and 2nd round picks. You are not getting Granger

Re: Hornets / Pacers Trade
I know the point is to pair CP3 with an elite wing, but Indy does not accept due to the horrible package being presented. No matter what you put out there, once you add Okur it is a deal-breaker in regards to acquiring Danny.
Counter-offer
Murphy/Ford/Rush for Collison/ Okur/ Posey
Note: If NO would like, Indy could add Dunleavy's expiring too, of course we'd reguest MoPete, so it's not a complete salary dump. But the point is Jr. is the best wing outside of Granger, on both teams. He is still young, has a clean bill of health, and is prepared to have a good season to enhance his value. MoPete is about done.
Indy/NO scenarios have been thrown out there a lot, and I have concluded that the only way Indy could help out NO's is by giving them the ability to be a player in 2011 free-agency. Obviously, CP3 wants the Hornets to get better and they won't be able to grow the team how he sees fit if they're tied down by Emeka and Posey. Ownership has stated Chris will be in the decision making process of any transactions, they are pledging their allegiance to him.
Besides cap-space Indy's package includes players who can stretch the floor for CP3 and a young defensive-minded 2-guard, with range and the potential to be an above-average scorer (15-18 ppg).

Re: Hornets / Pacers Trade
New Orleans really doesn't have a package to get Granger.
It would take something like Peja/West/Collison/Brackins/Pondexter/Songaila for Granger/Murphy/Ford/Dahntay Jones/Solo Jones to start a conversation.
Essentially, everything of value other than Paul for Granger and spare parts.
Or, it would take Paul and spare parts for Granger + value.
You're not getting Granger for Collison and a horrid contract in Okafor.
