Why for the Hornets:
New Orleans dumps salary but doesn't give up Paul. This would allow them to command top dollar for Paul without having to dump a bad contract with him. Or if they decide to keep Paul it would free up money to sign free agents next year.

Why for the Nuggets:
It really balances out there roster nicely. Give them a deep 10 man rotation which has a balance of offensive and defensive players. Could be a good enough move to make Melo want to sign his contract.....They can use there remaining LLE on another big man

If Melo signs an extension, Okafor in Denver might make sense because they need bigs. But they're not going to give up on their 2011 cap space without some good incentive.

Maybe Okafor/Brackins for KMart would entice them
