Sixers trades: Andres Nocioni,Elton Brand, Thaddeus Young, Lou Williams
Sixers receive: Gilbert Arenas Rashard Lewis

Pacers trades TJ Ford, Jeff Foster, conditonal first rounder
Pacers receives Lou Williams Marcin Gortat

Magic trades: Rashard Lewis, Brandon Bass, Marcin Gortat
Magic receives: Thaddeus Young, ELton Brand, Jeff Foster

Wizards trades: Gilbert Arenas
Wizards receives: TJ Ford, Andres Nocioni, Brandon Bass, conditonal first rounder

Sixers gets two veteran Stars in hope they can entice Carmelo to think the Sixers, Arenas and Lewis will have to be subordinate at this point I dont think Arenas playing with Holiday will be a problem

Pacers gets combo guard and a big physical center

Magic gets a young combo forward to replace with Young the Brand become a good contributor at this point of the team become the a great 4th or fith option in a an offensive and should flourish when Howard gets double team, Foster is quality rebounder as a 10 mpg player until Orton devlops. Young still has an upside

Wizard gets AN expiring contract in TJ Ford, Brandon Bass is a young power forward and the center piece of this package, Nocioni Physical play to compliment Booker and developing Blatche. he provides an attitude.. the conditional first rounder becomes a an future asset

Indiana would also get pay that combo guard 16 million for the next three and 29 million for four years of the Polish hammer (plus a 1st) when there are young, promising pieces at PG and C.

Try again.

Not a chance. We'd rather have Brand than Rashard at this point (neither produces a ton but our team needs rebounding help as it is and we don't want to pay the extra $$ of Lewis), and there's no reason to give up 2 assets in Young and Williams + a guy the management likes in Nocioni for the privilege of taking on Gilbert's deal as well.

Well, from an Indy perspective, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Some fans will be reluctant to spend cap space, and certainly many won't want to give up a pick, but I assume the pick is lotto protected.

Fact is, we get a totally legit 6th man combo guard in lou williams (16 million over 3 years is eminently reasonable) who will back up collison, back up our SG spot, and will likely play upwards of 25 minutes per game. He's 23 years old, yet incredibly experienced considering.

Then, we also get Gortat. Oh, what's that, Hibbert is in foul trouble again? BOOM GORTAT. Having a 1-2 punch like that would let Roy play his game without worrying about fouls. Yeah, 4 years/29 million is a lot, but I feel like Gortat is still a positive trade asset. Guys like him don't just grow on trees, and if we later traded him, I'm sure we could get a decent return.

Fact is, Hibbert is probably only really ready to play 30 minutes a game anyway. Having a legit guy like Gortat, even only as an 18 mpg backup, provides an awesome safety valve.

We could even occasionally run a HUGE lineup of Collison/Dunleavy/Granger/Gortat/Hibbert. Seriously would be ridiculous. 7'2, 7'0, 6'9, 6'9, and collison. If we ran Lou at point during that, or Stephenson, we'd be even taller.

Fact is, we're not exactly going to grab the top FAs next year. It's a weak FA class. Imagine Lou Williams and Gortat were going to be FA next year. Pacers strike out on Horford/Landry/whatever other plans we had.... and then we signed Lou for 2 years/10.5 million and Gortat for 3 years/22 millino. Those would be considered the absolute steals of the FA class. We'd be ecstatic. "Hey we missed out on the biggest names, but we would have been overpaying those guys anyway. We got 2 great players incredibly cheap!"

This is an utter one hundred percent no-brainer from Indy. We'd throw in Rush or Rolle or maybe even Stephenson if it would help get it done.

As a Magic fan, i would do it. In fact, i think every team would do it......except Philly. No way i could see them signing off on something like this.

Yeah, I guess Philly doesn't do this. Trade one of the worst contracts in the league for... 2 of the worst contracts in the league.

you didn't go far enough... the sixers would be trading one of the three worst contracts in the association... FOR THE OTHER TWO. Brand, Lewis, and Arenas are the three worst contracts in the league. I'd MUCH rather keep Brand ON THE BENCH FOR THE DURATION OF HIS CONTRACT than take Lewis AND Arenas.

Idk if anyone else noticed, but someone just went on a TANGENT about the Pacers and Gortat!

Moral of the story, the Rashard Lewis is the center.

Johnson is arguably fourth, but may not be that bad because at least he can still ball and he doesn't get hurt all the time. cursing out your own fans barely registers a blip on the character flaw scale anymore. pretty sad, huh?
