3 teams, 20 players, and a megaton of financial commitment sloshing around, mostly landing in Newark. I know talks broke down months ago between these 3 teams, but I had to see if I could blend it with some of the more recent rumors. Well, it's everything you're thinking, and it just barely works!

Philadelphia needs something in return for Igoudala...maybe route a pick or Damion James to them.

It might be possible to reroute one of the picks going to Denver...

If Philly is clearing salary why drop Meeks? And Petro is much worse than expiring.

I doubt Philly throws the towel in on being the 7-8th seed, but if they did I don't think taking Petro or giving Meeks makes sense.

Philly should be happy that they are getting rid of Brand, let alone Iggy. But I'm pretty sure that Denver wants Iggy, so it would make more sense to send him to Denver instead of Harris.

Last I heard Denver did not want either one of them, but was willing to accept Harris due to his trade value around the league.

Ya I heard Nuggets wanted Iggy back in August or September, but at this point why not take him?

OK, so if we take out Meeks and send the NJN 1st to PHI, does that even out things? I like Meeks, but part of the reason included him was to balance rosters. I'd prefer having him, but I don't think PHI's inssistence on keeping him (if it came to that) would derail the deal. One more coming in than going out shouldn't be a big deal for the Sixers, since I think their roster is at 14.

BTW, I'm surprised I haven't yet heard from vincecarter4pres. I was sure he'd like this deal better than those ugly old Brandon Roy proposals...

And then what for the Sixers???

Because you don't just flush your veteran talent away without a plan so I'm asking the question.

Who do the Sixers get to replace their 2 best players? Where do the Sixers get the defense and post scoring and the all around play that they give up?

Moreover...why do the Sixers give up the playoffs when they desperately need to make some headlines in a sports town where they are clearly 4th?

The Sixers need to build because with the Phillies and Flyers both being serious championship contenders and the Eagles not far off, the Sixers can't become a sinkhole.

But I'm sure you gave these factors some careful thought.
