Nash for Bynum

LAL Gets:
Steve Nash
Grant Hill

PHO Gets:
Andrew Bynum
1st Round pick (probably in the range 25-30)

Why for LAL: They need to shake it up, and getting Nash puts them in a more win now mode, which makes the most sense for them at this point. Nash is quietly having one of his best seasons ever and Nash/Kobe/Gasol could be scary.

Why for PHO: Start rebuilding with a young talent at the hardest position to find. They have Gortat and Lopez, but having a lot of quality centers is a good problem, not a bad one.

No chance in hell. Same division trade.... No thanks.

Plus Nash and Hill are worth MUCH MORE than a center that has bread crusts for knees.

Lakers say no.

Nash's talents would be underutilized in the triangle. I don't see why they would trade youth for two guys that old either. If the Lakers thought they needed to go all in (like the Cavliers last year) then I could see it, but the Lakers don't rebuild they reload.

The Suns need a center? Not the last time I looked.

Nash and Hill are in NBA years......OLD. They really won't fetch a big return anymore, that ship done sailed. LAL MIGHT have a keeper in Bynum...might not. He's a bit of risk to trade for,but for LAL's situation, they will gamble that he gets better not worse and ids a big deal in the post Kobe era.

Otherwise...soon,Nash + Hill are history and Kobe is a 35 yr old "veteran",and the Lakers need a reload.

In sending Nash to the Lakers you would lose 90 percent of the fans in Phoenix, everybody would hate Blanks and Sarver even more then they do right now. As much as I hate to say it, I would probably still take Kerr as general manager at this point because all he did was avoid deals, not make stupid ones.

Gortat is looking solid and PHX has too much invested in Hill and Nash emotionally to move them right now.

You can't be serious? I'm not sure what kind of window of opportunity you think remains in LA, but I assure you, if you are pinning your hopes on Bynum and the other "kids" on your team you are out of your mind. LA would be nuts not to acquire Nash and Hill for Bynum- it would make them instantly more title ready for the remaining 3 years of competitiveness they have left in the tank.

Everyone knows how old Nash and Hill are, you really don't need to harp on it.

Still, if you think you can get one of the top 5 PGs in the league for a guy who wouldn't be able to find the court if it was the Pacific-fing-Ocean, you're kidding yourself.

And to the fact that Nash would be under-utilized in the triangle is silly. Nash and Pau would have a field day and Nash's range alongside his insane efficiency would be an incredible asset to the Lakeshow.

You'd think that at first glance, but Nash and Hill, respectively, only have a few good years left in them. Bynum could go another 10-12 years, and it's much more difficult to find a quality big. Bynum has a history of injuries, but if he's healthy, he has a bright future.

Lakers pass, based both on the age difference and the fact that their strong suit in last year's playoffs was their size.

Lakers are going to use Bynum and the potential of what he could be to net their next superstar player once Kobe finally retires imo.

They know how other teams value him to the point where he wont be traded right now.

Bynum will be big in the playoffs if he's healthy. Having him, Gasol and Odom going against the Heat gives the Lakers a big edge size-wise. They can get Howard in foul trouble and it is necessary to combat the Celtics size when they're all healthy.

You're kidding right? How many centers are out there who can put up 20/10 and play great defense? Dwight is the only one I can think of.

Bynum is only 22 years old man. He's 6 years away from his prime.

The only reason for the Lakers to consider a move like this would be Bynum's knees are shot

For that reason...the Suns pass

No. I was implying the exact opposite.
