I still think Durant ahead of Dwight is very iffy. Also, I think both Wade and Kobe are too close to the top. At their age, how can you put either (especially Kobe) ahead of guys like John Wall or Russell Westbrook?

First thought. Russell Westbrook too high. Pau Gasol too low.
I'll rather see someone like Noah instead of Cousins for the final spot.

Russell is 22 and has put up better stats than rose and other PG's. Like cammo said, he should probably be 7th on this list ahead of Kobe and Wade because of age.
Also Westbrook has never missed a game in his career despite him being the most aggressive PG in the game, so he also has durability on his side

ehh..why would you want gasol that badly when he's about to pass his prime? i think he's fine where he is.
Westbrook is a very young, very good point with high potential..there's not many players I'd take over him. I, honestly, would rather have him over Kobe. I don't know why Kobe went so high. Sure he's still excellent, but he's a past-his-prime SG with bad knees.

I dont know how Russell Westbrook is ahead of Dirk.
If the Mavericks offer to trade Dirk for Westbrook and salary filler, the Thunder would think long and hard about it. They'll be like hmmmm this is interesting. Wow.
If the Thunder offer to trade Westbrook and salary filler for Dirk, the mavericks would say Go **** yourself.

No way the Thunder would trade Westbrook for Dirk

Not saying Gasol should be top 10 or whatever. I just think 19th is too low for a player of his caliber. I'll rather have Gasol than Amare for one.
Gasol is only 30. He's not someone who relies heavily on athleticism. He's more of a length/skill player who should have alot of good years left in the NBA. Gasol is the type of player who can play well into his late 30s and not lose too much production unlike say Amare.

not with d12's contract situation. that was my reason for voting durant over d12 at that spot.

exactly. Durant is locked up for 6 years on a very very reasonable 86 million dollars

I think Durant should be #1. But i also acknowledge i have a personal bias against Lebron James.

No question. If there was one guy i'll rather have in the entire NBA to build a franchise with. Its Durant.

Veterans are incredibly undervalued in this poll. Seems like people think if you're older than 27-28 that you become worthless and that immature punks who are currently not helping a team win are much more valuable.
Travesty that Pierce isn't in the top-25. Travesty that Griffin is #5.

So Dash, are you ever going to do a worst contract poll? Limit it to top 15, that would be interesting.

+1
Also, al horford is too high. Hes a 2nd option (at best) on his team that is just in the playoffs. Hes not a true C at 6'10, 245lbs and that lowers his value too. Id put guys like Lopez, steph curry and love above him for sure. Yes he plays good D, but there are plenty of PFs that can.
