Depends how much you believe in Gordon, but I think Gasol is. Also, I was exaggerating about the 2 dwights thing.

Because Okafor is 8 years younger than Turkeyglue and is a position of need. A front court of Deandre Jordan and Emeka Okafor is pretty decent in the East, plus with Gordon, that's a decent core. Again, Gordon instantly becomes a topn3 sg in the East.

Okafor is only three years younger than Turkoglu.

How is Okafor a position of need if you're already sending another centre in Jordan? Also, Okafor/Jordan wouldn't be good - who defends the power forwards, and who provides any kind of post offense? Because neither of them can do that effectively. They're both out-and-out defensive specialist centers.

What an entertaining crushing of the rules of the CBA!

Step 1. Can't do it because LAC doesn't have the cap space (or the value)
Step 2: Can't do it because Deandre Jordan can't be traded for 2 months after matching offer
Step 3: Can't do it because you can't amnesty a player you traded for
Step 4-6: Can't do it because you're not far enough under the cap with Dwight, CP, Butler, Griffith, more.

We could talk about value in the trade too, or the NBA stopping it, but I think that's plenty

Honestly I think they could have if they had held onto their pick (the one that ended up being #1 overall).

1. Amnesty Baron

2. Send Gordon, MIN 1st, fillers to NOH for Paul

3. Send Irving/Williams, S&T Jordan, fillers to ORL for Howard

The rest of the team would hurt for depth but a Paul/Griffin/Howard trio would be lethal.
