Vote: Carmelo Anthony - He is a top scorer, does a lot of things for his team. Absolutely the next best player on the list, and consider also that he has an extended contract and is no longer about to expire. Anthony is more valuable than Kobe, Westbrook or Williams (expensive, inconsistent and expiring in respective order)

Nominate: Greg Monroe. Gordon is hurt at the moment, not playing so well. Cousins is a hot head and Hibbert is close to an extension. With really good promise (32 and 16 against Bogut!!) and a rookie contract, Monroe should definitely be making the list soon.

I think both Kobe and Dirk are better than him at this point. But Melo has something neither of them have; youth. He is the only superstar on the list in his 20s tied to a multiyear contract.

Good point. I dont watch the Pistons play but i'm shocked at how well he played both this year and last season.

18 PER as a rookie and now through 12 games he has a 26 PER. A productive big on a rookie contract, yea he should be up there.

Yeah, I didn't mean to say Anthony was a better basketball player, just a better contract (because of the promise of future production).

Bad choice of words, today I would still rather have Kobe or Dirk shooting a clutch shot, or taking more than 20 shots per game. Maybe not in 3 years (which is why I voted for Anthony), and especially not in 5 years.
