Looks like the Hawks are blowing it up today.

I think Hawks win simply because Harris is an expiring. Not sure why Utah wants Marvin.

Waiting for details. Seems to me a pick should be going Utah's way.

Yup.
Do not get this one at all for Utah. They need a PG badly now.

I was happy for Philly when Atlanta signed him. Now, I think we missed out.
These are the type of trades you can make when you get a 6 year contract.
(poll added, and tacked on the deals list)

Mo Williams? I guess it's debatable if he's a "real" PG, but he's played PG extensively throughout his career, so I'm fairly certain he's going to be the starting PG of the Utah Jazz next season.
Hawks are really cleaning house. A Josh Smith trade has to be coming soon, doesn't it?

I don't see the rush, but I would expect him to be moved.
Let the offers come in for Smith, he can probably get a good amount despite the fact he is an expirer.

He should have won that simply for finding someone to take on that awful Joe Johnson contract. Although, there has to be a small asterisk on that since it was a trade with Billy King however.

By coming soon, I didn't mean they need to be in a rush, just that I meant he's likely going to be the Hawk moved. I didn't mean soon as in the next few days, although I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Already have Mo Williams, Earl Watson, and Jamal Tinsley at PG, so the Jazz are fine at that spot. It could certainly be better, but it's not like the cupboard is bare, either.
Jazz have always liked Marvin, and it was obvious he needed a change in scenery from Atlanta. He may not have lived up to his draft position, but he's still an upgrade in a position of need (SF) for the Jazz.

Forgot all about the Mo deal until after. So yeah, I don't see a pressing need as they have stop gap options. A long term one is another story.
I still think they should get something extra.

I had assumed they would do a Smith deal, and otherwise field the same team. At this point I'm thinking they might just try and pair Josh Smith and Dwight, or burn it down rebuild. Or anything.

Would the Hawks consider shipping out Horford for Dwight? I have to imagine the Magic would bite on that as they'll be hard pressed to get anything as good as Horford in return. The Hawks would have to hope Smith and Howard's friendship is strong enough to keep Dwight in ATL.
That said, considering Smith has been unhappy in Atlanta for a LONG time, then combining Dwight's attitude with him, that could be a recipe for disaster for Ferry. Both guys might just end up feeding each other animosity toward the Hawks, ending up with both leaving at the end of next season and having no Horford.

So, Atlanta now runs (temporarily) as?
Teague/Harris
Farmar/Jenkins
Morrow/Stevenson
Smith/Williams/Scott/Ivan
Horford/Pachulia/Petro
Great relief of cap ultimately, but everyone's either a 2 guard at heart, or a 4 at heart.

Farmar is being bought out I hear.
