This isn't quite official yet. There will be more players involved and the Rockets will probably get a pick or two.

I'm just glad the Rockets acquired someone who can play PF.

I work under the system that once Yahoo (Woj or Spears) says it, its official. But yeah, from what I heard it sounds like a 2nd will be coming from Boston as well. If its anything substantial, I will definitely reset the poll.

Totally thread drift... why was Leuer cut?

Yeah, they definitely seemed a little thin at the PF spot. I think anything less than 7 is just not enough.

He was only trade-able by himself for more than a month still. At this point having a trade filler that can't play has more value to us than a guy that can play, but can't be traded. (Relatively speaking, obviously. Leuer is a nice player and I wish we didn't have to cut him, but he was like our 6th or 7th PF).
We maybe would have been able to trade him for some kind of 2nd rounder, but again, as of right now any trade filler we can get our hands on is more valuable to us than some 2nd rounder.

This should also be factored into this trade. We will get probably end up getting Moore and Sean Williams. Neither guy has a lot, if any value as a player, but they do have value to us as trade fillers.

I was really beginning to wonder when the Rockets were going to plug that hole at the 4.

As for the trade, I think Boston won the trade, but I'm fine with it as a Rockets fan as well.

I really like Lee and think he will be a very nice addition for the Celtics, but we're kinda going in a different direction. If the 2nd rounder is the 2nd rounder from the Bobcats, I really like this trade actually. Morey has shown time and time again he can find undervalued players in the second round.

It is. And Moore is a nice filler, he's a so - so propsect.

Poll has been updated. 8-)

Good, good. :)

Regarding Leuer I should add that his contract would have become guaranteed today.

It guess it's not certain yet whether or not we'll go with cap space or mass trade fillers and possibly TPE's, so that might have factored in as well. Then again, I can't imagine there wouldn't have been any takers for the guy.

Very disappointed in Morey on this one. I mean JJ is a nice PF pick up, but Moore? Come on. He's not even a stretch PF. He doesn't fit the mold. How are the Rox going to get 15 PFs at this rate? Shouldve asked for Sullinger!

Interesting for the Warriors as Lee's deal sets the negotiating point for Brandon Rush

Rockets apparently will waive both(?) Moore and Williams. Definitely Williams.

Dragic S&T for TPE coming?

EDIT: Rockets will waive both.

For what its worth:

Assuming Lee trade goes down, it will involve at least three teams. Also, Rockets would waive Moore tomorrow.

Apparently Portland is the third team but what did they get for their trouble?

Great more room for jokes about Houston insane PF logjam.

Amazing deal for Boston btw, Lee is a damn solid player and they got him for nothing.
