Updated official deal:

The Lakers will send All-Star center Andrew Bynum to the Philadelphia 76ers, who also will receive shooting guard Jason Richardson from the Orlando Magic. The Sixers will send guard Andre Iguodala to the Denver Nuggets. The Magic will receive Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, rookie swingman Moe Harkless, forward Josh McRoberts, three protected first-round draft picks and a 2013 second-round pick from the Nuggets (by way of Golden State). In addition to Howard, the Lakers will also receive Earl Clark and Chris Duhon from the Magic.

Rumored Trade:

Lakers-

OUT: Bynum, Gasol
IN: Howard, Harrington

MAGIC-

OUT: Howard
IN: Gasol, Afflalo

SIXERS-

OUT: Iggy, more
IN: Bynum

NUGGETS-

OUT: Harrington, Afflalo
IN: Iggy

My Take:

Lakers-

IN: Howard, Mozgov, and Harrington
OUT: Bynum, Gasol, MWP, 2015 top 16 protected 1st

MAGIC-

IN: Gasol, Afflalo, Thad, Vuc, Moe Harkless, Koufos, J. Hamilton, 2013 top 8 protected 1st from Denver, 2014 top 16 protected 1st from Denver, 2015 top 16 protected Lakers 1st, 2016 top 6 protected pick from Philly
OUT: Howard, Turk, Duhon

SIXERS-

IN: Bynum, MWP, Duhon
OUT: Iggy, Thad, Vuc, Harkless, 2016 top 6 protected 1st round pick

NUGGETS-

IN: Iggy, Turk
OUT: Harrington, Afflalo, Koufos, J. Hamilton

I think that is more likely. It works salary wise, and the only restriction would be that Harkless cannot be traded for 2 more weeks. The Lakers get a little more value and drop MWP. The Sixers give up more for their prized Bynum. The Nuggets also give up some salary to take back Turk to make a little more fair. Finally Magic get tons of picks, young players, and big contracts set to expire in the next few years.

wow most Denver fans do not want to do the rumored deal, and you have them adding in their young prospect sg that they love and a young big, while taking back a **** contract.

Let's look at this realistically the only reason that Denver is in the deal is to provide a partially guaranteed filler, and a younger player that the Magic must want more then Iggy. No reason for them to add more value then that.

True, but they need to give up more than just Afflalo and Harrington to get Iggy.

Harrington and Affalo for Iguodala is an absolute steal for Denver. Not really sure why Denver is going this direction versus trading Affalo for a younger player, but value wise it is great.

denver already has the 2nd youngest starting lineup in the league why get younger. And I am sorry but I would much rather have the younger Afflalo making less then $8 million per year on average then iggy making more then $15 million per year. the upgrade from Afflalo is not worth that kind of money.

Which value is great? Mine or the concept trade on Wiretap?

Sam Amick:

A source close to the situation confirms @wojyahoonba report that Orlando is in talks with Philly, Lakers and Denver. Reported framework of deal that is being discussed but not imminent had Dwight Howard and Al Harrington heading to the Lakers, Andrew Bynum to the Sixers, and Pau Gasol and Arron Afflalo to the Magic along with cap relief (Jason Richardson heading somewhere likely) and draft picks.

I think it's even better that I had Turk going instead of Richardson...

Very true. There has to be more going out for Denver. Harrington+Afflalo for Iguodala is a steal. Perhaps they're either taking back an Orlando contract or throwing in a pick or two...

This. I think Turk and two protected picks, plus 2 younger development players is a good deal.

He makes $14.7 this year, and 15.9 next.

Denver still has a $13 million TPE from the Nene trade.

By the way I love how everybody is glossing over Harrington's inclusion, he is a good player right now, and can be cut to save half of his salary in the last years of his deal, reportedly the Lakers are the ones who want him badly.

If I hear @WojYahooNBA corretly, Lakers are doing everything in their power to acquire Al (Buckets) Harrington...as well as Dwight Howard

If you do not think cap savings over the next year is going to have tremendous value over the next year as the higher luxury tax, and the repeater tax kick in you are fooling yourself.

The only reason that Harrington's partially guaranteed contract would matter is if he isn't worth his deal. In which case the team eating him would still be paying half of the salary for nothing.

Harrington is a negative valued asset imo, which is exactly why people talk about cutting him and saving half the money. If Denver could find a taker for free, they would be a winner in that trade. Same held for Birdman before he was amnestied...

Orlando wants Gasol more than Bynum?

If Lakers are giving up both, why wouldn't they send both to Orlando. What extra value is created by sending Bynum to a 3rd team? Afflalo, really??

What do the Sixers do to deserve Bynum? Iggy? That would be a wet dream for them.

Lot's of holes in this rumor.

Orlando doesn't want Bynum to leave them high and dry next summer. Philly is willing to take that chance considering they move Iggy.

IF LAL couldn't find a taker for Pau all off-season, then I don't think they could here either. ORL's play is simple: reestablish his value and deal him as a useful expiring. Not a bad play for ORL IMO. It allows them to get some assets now and some later when Gasol is dealt.

Better to reach for the 1st pick then hold on to Gasol for a tradechip.

Since when did a 14 and 6 player become a bad deal for $7.5 million a year? Last year they traded a 6th man of the year player for a TPE and a pick, the truth is the Lakers have a $140 million plus tax bill on the horizon next year if they do not get some cap relief, this deal gives them that. Saving what amounts to $30 million in savings to release a player, does not make that player a bad deal in itself, but it makes the tax and repeater tax so heavy that teams have to save money somehow.
