Orlando, Dallas, Boston and Chicago are very interested in Marcin

http://nba.przegladsportowy.pl/Koszykow ... 2,299.html

Last season you've scored a lot of points off of Steve Nash pick and rolls. The team doesn't play that way anymore. Marcin Gortat: That's true, but I can score in various situations. Finishing pick and rolls, in transition, from midrange, around the rim. There are a lot of options. Unfortunately, my two strongest plays – the pick and roll and post-ups have been taken away from me. It's not easy, we have a lot of plays that don't include me. And my chemistry with Goran Dragic hasn't been quite equal to what I had with Steve. These are things that we need to work on. The
Coach Alvin Gentry told me that the main post option was Luis Scola. You, on the other hand, are number one on defense.
Marcin Gortat: Unfortunately... I've been doing the dirty work all my life, and now I have to come back to that. I will fight for what's mine. I'll try to prove to the coach that I can play an important role in the offence. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm even an option for Gentry. He doesn't even take me into consideration. The situation is critical. We're playing the same thing we've been playing last year, but the truth is we have a completely different set of players. I don't think it really works. I can't get frustrated now though, I have to stay positive.

Before the season you were promising a fight for the playoffs, but from the picture painted by the past few games, the Suns don't seem like a top 8 team in the West. MG: Before the season started, I was a huge optimist. I thought we'd play a completely different game. Right now, it doesn't look good. We still have a lot to learn, and a lot to fight for. We need to fix our team defence. We can't give up a hundred points per game. We'll see how it works out. Right now, I'm not losing hope, there's still a shot at the playoffs.

Did the coach honestly tell you what he expects from you? MG: We've talked before the season started. He said he expects me to play defence, rebound, block shots and quarterback the defence. He also said he wanted me to set up in the paint and wait for my shots. And I'm still waiting... (laughter) What are you expecting in the coming week? MG: After the game against the Miami Heat, we have a longer break and some time to correct some errors in practice. It won't be easy though. Maybe you should have an honest conversation with Coach Gentry? MG: I don't know if it will change anything. But I'll surely have a chat with him.

PHX GET: A.Bradley, C.Lee, F.Melo, BOS 2013 1st lotto pro

PHX GIVE: M.Gortat, S.Telfair

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOS GET: M.Gortat, S.Telfair

BOS GIVE: A.Bradley, C.Lee, F.Melo, BOS 2013 1st lotto pro

Why for PHX?
Gortat is disgruntled and like many players before him has not looked as good without Nash feeding him. Phoenix continue the post nash era by getting a young defensive SG to pair with Dragic and a 1st+ prospect.

Why for BOS?
The Perkins deal is still haunting this franchise because KG is expending alot of energy playing out of position on both ends..this deal puts him in his natural spot and improves their overall defense. Rondo also knows how to play pick n roll with a big that can finish strong like Gortat. Terry and Barbosa are also more than capable of taking over as the SG's for this team.

R.Rondo
J.Terry
P.Pierce
K.Garnett
M.Gortat

6th men: B.Bass, L.Barbosa, J.Sullinger, J.Green

G.Dragic
A.Bradley
M.Beasly
L.Scola
F.Melo

6th men: C.Lee, J.Dudley, M.Morris, K.Marshall

No.

Phoenix does not get great value for a rather high end Center. They also cannot expect Melo to play minutes this year. Lee has been a disappointment for Boston and I worry he would pout in Phoenix (like he did in NJ). I think the Suns could do better.

Bradley is arguably the best perimeter defender in the NBA TJ ...pair him with Dragic and thats a sweet backcourt for the future.

I'd need to be convinced off that.. especially such a young player coming off an injury.
Also, Phoenix doesn't need role players, they need flat out talent. Lee is a role player, Melo a major project and I haven't joined the Bradley club yet.

Lee is added to make salaries match and he can be flipped again if they please

If Lee could be flipped for additional value then just add that to this trade. I really don't think the market for Lee is that high and if the Suns were interested they would have pursued him during free agency. Easy no for the deal as constructed.

I'm going to vote yes on this one, I like it.

Personally, I like Fab's potential, Bradley has shown he should be a good rotation player with lockdown potential who can fit on any roster from rebuild to contender and they pick up a 1st as well and Courtney Lee is re-flippable for a late 1st or something like that.

Gortat is a nice player, but what's the reason to keep him on Phoenix and although this can be viewed as a quantity over quality package, what realistically is Phoenix getting better? A high lotto pick? I don't know lotto teams would be interested, unless OKC would ship the Toronto pick?

As a former KOTB FINALIST and a Suns fan, i have to vote no.

I just dont see the value. Telfair has done great for us off the bench and has really stepped up his defense. I like Bradley, alot, but havent seen much of a difference between the player he was last year (pre-injury) and the player that Telfair is this year. Lee has been a huge disappointment and Melo is as raw as they come (and should have stayed in college to refine his game for a few more years). If anything, i think Sullinger would have to be involved in the deal. But still, Lee would have to be involved, just to make the money work, so if there was a 3rd team that was interested in Lee, while Suns pick up Bradley/Sullinger/pick, that might be fees-able.

Even though I'm not a Sun's fan, I do value Gortat more than most on this board because I think him and Rondo have possible the best and second best contracts in the league. I think this is kinda close. I would simplify it though. Take out everyone but Bradley and add Sullinger. I think that's fair value. Just straight up Bradley and Sully for Gortat. I vote yes though for the KOTB.

On flipping Lee for something the Suns would want, what about trading Lee and Melo to Minny for Williams? Then Williams, Sullinger, Bradley for Gortat? Would that work for Phx? Would they do just Williams and Sullinger? I'd prefer to keep Bradley, I'm pretty high on him but if push came to shove I'd probably deal Bradley if we had to. We'd save a little money so we could sign Pietrus or somebody to fill in at SG. Need for a center is just too big.

For Minny, I expect some people to rip this. Looking at the Wolves board, it's tough to get a gage on Williams' value. Some fans think he just sucks and once Love comes back will have little to no value. Others think he's still a potential stud. Here, they fill a need. Lee's been a big disappointment so far but it's probably just a bad fit. He's better than he's shown and could still help someone who needs some d and shooting.

We have had a few discussions with Wolves fans on our Suns board, and they seem to be ok with us trading Dudley straight up for Williams. The issue we run into is that the Suns would then be stuck in the same situation the Wolves were in last year with both Beasley and Williams.

Williams is a PF, straight up, he can not play SF to save his life. After 12 games, the Suns are learning the same applies for Beasley. Doing these trades loads PHX up with a crazy amount of PF's. Scola/Beasley/Morris/Williams/Sullinger/Frye and a severe lack of C's (Jermaine O'Neal being the only "True" C).Granted when Frye comes back next season he will be forced to play C, but in the meantime i dont see how any of those PF's can play the C role, and i dont trust O'Neal enough to give him the starters minutes.

There is talk from our FO and Gentry that there is a shake-up coming, and our line-up will be changing and many people are wondering if we will be switching Beasley over to his natural PF position. It seems like everyone and their mama keep saying that he is a natural PF and not a SF, yet every team he plays for uses him as a SF (Miami excluded). If th Suns didnt have Beasley, i would be way way more open to taking on Williams (specially with him being an AZ product), but at this point, i just dont see the point.

No from the Suns.

Bradley, Melo and a mid-late 1st rounder might be OK for Gortat but Lee's heavy contract kills the deal.

Ghost maybe onto something here, it's now being reported almost this exact trade will be offered by Boston in the coming days, meaning if the reports are legit, it's probably already been vaguely discussed between the two GM's and they're interested enough to think about it.

According to Przeglad Sportowy, kingjamesgospel.com.

Is there anyone else reporting it? Suns still say no even if it does get offered.

KOTB: A very close Yes

Reason: KG has looked brilliant at C but also looks kinda winded at times and this move allows him to rest at the PF spot and let Gortat take some of the bruising in the post.

Suns, if a guy is unhappy, move him, but not just for any package and this isn't just any package because I think Bradley could very well be the "Marcin Gortat" of perimeter defenders while they struggle and improve their chances at a younger C to go w/ their core (which is an odd bunch to begin w/ imo). Not sure if Fab Melo is that guy honestly either but Bradley could be great w/ Goran.

4 no's 4 yes's.

I think a better package should happen for Gortat, but its close. And works fit wise all around. Go ahead take the point. I will give it a KOTB yes.

Phoenix would never do that.

You don't trade big for small especially when the small guy is even undersized for his position, coming off surgeries and hasn't proven jack in the NBA other than a 10 game stretch.
