Vote yes or no.
Charlotte in: Derrick Williams, 2014 2nd rounder from New Orleans
Minnesota in: Hakim Warrick, 1st rounder from Portland (top 12 prot. 2013-15, unprotected in 2016)
Charlotte gains a solid but disappointing prospect at a position of need for a future draft pick, while giving up cap space. Bobcats add to the pile of intriguing young talent.
Minnesota frees up cap space, gets a solid future draft pick, and deals Williams to a team that won't give him DNPs every other night. Now that Kevin Love is back, the Wolves simply don't need him. He's wasted talent there. Warrick has a team option at the end of the season.

That's a yes from me. It's the best type of Williams trades for me. Expiring contract and a solid draft pick down the line that can be cashed in when you need a cheap addition to your expensive roster or can be used as a sweetener in a future trade. Basically it's better than watch DW rack up DNPs with Love back from injury.

I think you have the basis of something here but Minny would almost certainly be more interested in a piece that helps now. Send Warrick and the pick to Orlando and Reddick to Minny or something along those lines.
Im going to say KOTB no because Minny wants to use the Williams pick for a win now piece.

Blazers pick can easily be traded along with Ridnour or Barea for Redick once Rubio is back. If somebody gives me a good pick and an expiring for Williams I take it now while it's being offered.

I'm more in line with Texas Chuck.
Find us a good piece to win now, preferably a vet SG that is either fairly paid, or overpaid with a value piece, and I would expect Kahn to listen. Trading for a lesser pick now would definitely be admitting defeat for Kahn.
Finally, I crunched numbers today, and I don't think MIN is going to be desperate for cap space. They can get out of Roy's contract since it had provisions in case of a knee injury. Steimsa and Cunningham are also team options next year, so even with Pek's cap hold, they would actually be about $6.2 mil under the cap, even if they made no moves whatsoever.

Learn to spell Stiemsma. It's not that hard. He plays for your team FGS.

Would you guys be at all interested in Ben Gordon? He expires in 2014 and I could probably get something to work if you are.

I think Cho is one of the best GM’s in the league and he’s too smart to do this.
Derrick Williams just looks like your classic tweener bust. Better talent will be available to you with that draft pick and you'll have it locked up on rookie scale for longer. If you really want to take a flier on Williams, just wait until he racks up a string of DNP-CD. He just logged his first one yesterday now that Love’s back.
KOTB: No.
