Denver trades: Timofey Mozgov, 2013 1st
Denver receives: J.J. Redick
Orlando trades: J.J. Redick
Orlando receives: Mozgov, 2013 1st
Denver gets a shooter off the bench, while Orlando gets an expiring (Mozgov) and a 1st rounder

I like it, but I think the Magic would prefer Hamilton over the 1st. Mozgov for Redick will not work straight up. Both teams would have to use their TPE. If ORL wants Hamilton and Moz the money works.

I think the Magic would definitely prefer the 1st. Just for starters, the pick would have 2 more years of rookie scale. And while it would still cost Denver from its TPE, Orlando wouldn't have to touch theirs.
Assuming this still works for Denver, the next step would be to send Mozgov to a third team for value, and send that value to Orlando, as I think Orlando is happy with Vucevic.

If we have to throw in a first, no deal. Big men in this league have far more value. I like Redick, but not for the price.
Denver would rather stand pat, IMO. We have a team with 9 straight wins - and plenty of size and speed and shooting to ball with anyone. Why mess with success?
Saying that - I would consider Redick for Mozgov and JHam, but only if WE get a backup PF or draft pick out of the deal. Otherwise no thanks. Love Redick's scoring, but he's not as valuable to us as you make him out to be.
My opinion....

I think ORL would have to use their TPE in a deal. I think they would first acquire Mozgov and a 1st for their TPE, giving Denver an open roster spot to absorb Redick into the Nene TPE.

Since Denver doesn't need to cut anyone, its a 1 for 1 swap, there isn't a timing issue.
Denver does Mogov for Reddick (absorbed per TPE) all in 1 deal, and is fine with roster spots. Orlando doesn't touch their mega TPE, and actually creates a new 3m TPE.

Orl gets: C.Brewer, J.Hamilton
Den gets: JJ Redick
OR

Those are the deals that make most sense to me. Like someone said, Mozgov and a 1st doesn't really work salary wise. As a Magic fan I'd probably take these offers if we weren't offered anything better elsewhere, Redick is expiring, and there's absolutely zero point in us paying him between $7-10m during a rebuild. Great player, would be an excellent fit in Denver though.

I think Denver is a great landing spot for Redick.

I really want Reddick but I haven't seen any trade rumors of Denver being interested

As I recall...Reddick is due to expire (or get more costly) so...I doubt Denver is giving a pick and will be wary of giving solid assets,in general. Reddick can shoot. On a weak team...he'd score. On a GOOD team, he has limitations. Mosgov + Hamilton? Doable. Orlando probably first wants to discuss re-upping reddick or doing an S+T

there were some rumors earlier in the season, but those seem to have went away.

After the 3OT loss to Boston, Denver definitely needs a shooter like Redick off the bench

I agree with the fit. Dre Miller, because he doesn't stretch the floor (I'd be very happy if i never again saw him attempt a 3 pt set shot, even it does make you crazy happy when one goes in), really needs a floor stretcher or two paired with him. I'd really like to see a denver bench of miller/redick/brewer/chandler/mcgee, as a unit. therefore prefer second deal to first.
