HOU/LAC/UTA Young Prospect Swap

Houston trades Chandler Parsons to L.A. CLIPPERS
L.A. Clippers trades Eric Bledsoe to UTAH JAZZ
Utah trades Derrick Favors to HOUSTON ROCKETS

Houston gets a significant boost to their PF rotation, skips out on what might be a big payday for duplicate wing scoring talent Parsons

L.A. Clippers, if they can retain Chris Paul, move a productive prospect from a position of glut (PG) to a position of need (SF)

Utah moves one of their many talented young big men for a talented PG, a position of desperate need.

(I haven't checked numbers, but seems like it should work)

Favors could be a young Howard with a jump shot.

This is really bad for the Jazz, like laughable, you would have to send us Parsons as well plus a future 1st round pick or two.

ok there...he's been in the league 3 years now, time to stop living off of hype. But i'm sure some per 36 #'s are gona be posted to prove me wrong though, cause he's probably not getting 36mins cause Coach is dumb or something.

Utah doesn't do this. Bledsoe doesn't have that type of value.

Yeah if it were not for Paul Millsap or Al Jefferson, his numbers would be pretty good. Lets put it this way, when the starters got the Jazz in a hole, Favors D and Haywards O would get us back into the game. Like I said his upside as a starter is Dwight Howard with more offensive skills and downside would be Tyson Chandler with more offensive skills. Jazz pass on this trade anyway, we have Karl Malone working with Kanter and Favors this summer.

IF Favors was Dwight Howard with more offensive game he would've overtaken one of them by last season for starting job.

You would think so but our coach is a little daft, he is in love with vets, just read the Jazz boards and see how pissed Jazz fans were at Corbin for not starting Favors. Frick, he would give Alec Burks DNP's and play Earl Watson instead, that should tell you he has a man crush on vets. I think PER 36 numbers for Favors this season were close to 15 PPG, 11 RPG, and almost 3 BPG.

What?

The only laughable thing here is your homerism.

In what world Favors has the value of Bledsoe + Parsons + 2 1st round picks ? I don't even think Houston would trade Parsons alone for Favors.

Favors is not a 18 y/o boy anymore, he is 22 y/o. Favors is going to the last year of his rookie contract. It's his 4th year in the NBA and he still has no offensive game, he is a horrible FT shooter and he can't pass the ball.

A 22 y/o Howard was putting 21ppg/14rpg/2bpg. Even if you adjust Favors numbers PER 36, his numbers don't come close to Howard's numbers.

Right now, Favors is much more a poor's man Ibaka than a Howard with a jump-shot.

I understand that you like him as a prospect, but he doesn't have this kind of value at all. You took your homerism way too far.

Favors is by no means ever going to be Howard with a jump shot but this is way out of line for Utah.

Jazz aren't trading Favors. If you want to talk about a sign and trade of Millsap or Jefferson I'd be willing to listen.

But, no, keep your filthy mitts off Favors. He's not going anywhere.

The fact that Favors has not been full time starter makes you more of a homer than anything. Let him work with Malone this summer and see what happens.

I'm not a fan or hater of any of the teams involved, so I wasn't trying to troll anyone. I just figured these guys were prospects on similar footing that could benefit from a change of scenery.

Parsons - age 25 - PER 15.3 - WS/48 .121
Bledsoe - age 23 - PER 17.5 - WS/48 .115
Favors - age 22 - PER 17.5 - WS/48 .117

(age when next season begins)

Guess not.

You weren't trolling, certainly. There's been a hell of a lot worse things proposed around here.

But from Utah's perspective, Favors is a young big man overflowing with potential; he is already an elite defender that can both protect the paint and contain the pick-and-roll on the perimeter. His offense is still coming along, but even at his present stage of development, I think he will outshine everyone else in the deal when he finally receives starter's minutes next year.

It would take a hell of a of a lot to get me (and most NBA GMs, in my opinion) to give him up, and Bledsoe doesn't do it. I just don't see him becoming an elite -- or even highly capable -- game manager, and to give up a young, elite-defending big man, that's what I'd need to be getting back.

Rocket Fan creates a trade that gives a prison attack/rape to the Jazz.

Bldsoe is good, but will want $10m a year or go free agent.

Magic fan, but nice try.
