I agree it's pretty much a wash, but I wouldn't take on Budinger for Amir + a pick swap.
Amir has way more value than Budinger at this point, it would be Bud + 13th for Amir and maybe extra salary relief like Hansbrough's non guaranteed deal for Shved. Otherwise I'd look to Phoenix for the 18th straight up.
Yeah I hear you. We (Minnesota) are in a difficult situation where we want to build for now and the future. If we go all in now, even if Love stays, our team will be rubbish in two years, and if we rebuild, Love will for sure leave.
Let's settle on Budinger/Shved/13/40/44 for Amir/Salmons/37; Good talk Jimmy.
That seems a terrible deal for your Wolves IMO..
Salmons has no use in Minn., not pushing the tax line and not interesting in dumping salary.. Should involve a third team that pays the price of dumping a contract or that wants to dump an overpaid quality player...
OKC - Perkins, 21
OKC - Salmons, 54
Minn - Budinger, Turiaf, JJB, 13, 40, 54
Minn - Perkins, Amir, 21
Toronto - Amir, Salmons
Toronto - JJB, Budinger, Turiaf, 13, 40
Might not be quite legal as that's a lot of salary going into Minn.. Figure do that deal as then trade Pekovic the next day for a Deng S&T+a 3rd string center. Or something like
Toronto - Amir+Salmons+20
Toronto - Budinger+LRMAM+JJB+13+40+44
Minn - Budinger+LRMAM+JJB+Shved+13+40+44
Minn - Green and Amir
Boston - Green
Boston - Shved, Salmons and 20
