Clippers/Hornets

In light of rumors, I think Clippers need to get younger and add a dynamic defensive wing.

To Clippers
-Lance Stephenson
-2015 2nd round pick
-2017 2nd round pick

To Hornets
-Jamal Crawford
-Matt Barnes

Why?
-This allows flexibility for the Hornets with Team Options on Crawford and Barnes. Hornets need outside shooting/scoring and veteran leadership.
-Stephenson starts for the Clippers at the 3. This opens up roster spot for Clippers to sign Ray Allen to replace Crawford off the bench behind Reddick.

Does this make sense?

I don't like it for the Hornets at all unless you think Crawford somehow comes in and saves the season which i don't. He and Kemba Walker don't go together well at all. If the Clippers would do Redick then it makes more sense for Charlotte otherwise this needs a 3rd team.

This trade does not solve their current need at the SF position.

Unless the Hornets are desperate to dump Lance..already...getting a couple short time old timers has no point...and throwing in some rd 2's won't help. Clips? They get a deal.. but will sweat about that contract and Stephanson's effect on chemistry..which can vary. Even if they have buyer's remorse... I doubt they are hasty.

Yup, Lance is in no way shape or form a SF and the Clippers bench would be dreadful after this deal. They'd be left with Hawes, Big Baby, Farmar, Hedo, and the young guys they don't play (Wilcox, Bullock).

I really do not see a Lance to LAC deal out there unless they're willing to give up Reddick which seems highly unlikely as it doesn't really do much for them at all.
