Heh, these are great.
I'm not sure I ever posted this at season's beginning, but I'm willing to take the crow anyway: I thought Milwaukee hiring Kidd was a big mistake. It's one thing to coach a team with seasoned veterans like Pierce and Garnett who already know what to do, quite another to take the reins of a bunch of kids. Well, I was completely wrong. Kidd has done a sterling job, especially in the face of controversies (his own hiring), injuries (Parker) and disasters (Sanders).
I'm not terribly surprised Presti made a move at the deadline, but this one is a lot gutsier than I would have ever predicted.
Would not have thought that Milwaukee would make a trade that makes them worse in the short-term, but was wrong about that too (obviously the value was too good to pass up and they pegged Knight for a short-timer anyway).
I'm sure there's more. Will add as they come to me.

Hmmm..a few and I'm sure I'll add later.
Thought Waiters would be decent for OKC.
Thought NY and BKN would be borderline playoffs.
Shocked how involved OKC was in trades.
Was hopeful for Larry Sanders.

Had utterly no confidence in Motiejunas, thought Lin would do a lot better in LA than he is, thought Golden State and Memphis were the two weak links out of the Western playoff teams.

I thought the Lakers would be one of the teams competing for a potential playoff spot. Thought Indy was going to blow up their roster. I thought Tyler Ennis was quietly going to be our PG of the futures future.

I said Minnesota would win forty games.

Already put it out there but never thought Denver would pay a first to get rid of JaVale

Alright...this is going to sound silly, but I thought LAL was a fringe playoff team. As well as Denver.
I thought that my boy Mamba could stay healthy.
I suspected that my boy MCW was a Sixer for the long run.
I thought NOLA would be a playoff team easily not a fringe playoff team.

All those haters who complained when I pointed out the Knicks don't care about the luxury tax can be added to this list. But I'm in a generous mood so they can eat this crow instead of the bird.

Quoted instructions. Failed to read it. Failed to follow it. Still don't understand the separate point.

I thought MCW fit Hinkie's rebuild -- excellent raw tools cannot shoot -- and no one would value him more than Philly, thus preventing a trade of him.
I am shocked at the crappy crappy truly just awful return from McDaniels. This one stings.
Expected the Sixers to get out tanked, but not by the Knicks -- wow those wheels fell off fast.
Wanted Bennett over the Miami pick for Thad. Yeah....

Thought Knicks would be neck and neck with BK and Det for the 8th seed.
Thought Chandler trade was a win/win.

Fixed the post though.

OK, so how many of you out there swore to me that Arron Afflalo would NEVER get traded for a 1st based upon what ORL traded him for ???
C'mon, confession is good for the soul ...or is that sole ???

Technically it's gonna be two seconds right? Well 3 seconds I think the first breaks down into 2 later + a second.
That was a good haul.
Smart holding out.

I thought NYK would trade Jason Smith to get under the tax - not add a million just for a couple late seconds that they could buy for a couple million and not spend the tax money. I thought Dalembert would be playing on a team by now; call it OKC, Dallas, LAC, Miami, Toronto, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Houston... whatever. He's a good enough player that I don't understand - maybe he's hurt.
I thought Gallo would have a bounce back year.
I thought Pekovic would beast without Love and be near 20/10.
I thought Milwaukee would have one of the worst 3 records in the league and draft Mudiay. Then I thought Sanders would turn it around playing on a playoff team with an insanely bright future...
I would have bet Chicago to have the best record in the east. I actually have too big of a ticket for them to win the championship, that I did near the beginning of the year when I saw how good Butler looked... Eh.. I thought Chicago would have done some move to add a wing player, but Thibs wouldn't have played him if he wasn't better than Dunleavy so doesn't matter I guess.
And I thought Rondo was a good addition

and I thought Felton wouldn't be wearing a Mavs jersey by tonight

... and I thought Greg Smith was a decent young big guy looking at his stats from Houston... Jesus..
I expected RJ to look amazing as a starter when Brook was out. I expected one of PJ3 or Lamb to take advantage of those minutes and prove to be an actual starter in the NBA. I expected Presti to dump Perkins+Lamb+ just to get under the tax. Hats off to OKC for putting together their best team...beyond the "what could have been if they stuck together" team.. this team should be better than the OKC team that made the finals IMO... But I guess that could be more crow.
I thought Phoenix would keep Dragic, Boston would get more for Rondo, and would have said the Suns hang up the phone to Lakers pick for Knight.. Or even Ennis+Plumlee for Knight, I'd say they turn down.

What are the protections on the pick?
The pick is for this season?
